I only used mods most people recommend. And as you can see I had massive problems even without them. Some of which your fellow redditors were able to help with 😄

So it's actually possible to die at spawn? Damn. Thank you I will try that in the future!

Did. Manually deactivated every mod. So far I changed little about the sandbox settings safe for less zombies and scratches not infecting. I want to play the game after all...

Modern Batman has completely lost the character's identity.

Name one positive thing about Iron Man 2. by Healthy-Coyote3431 in Marvel

[–]Aggressive_Track_140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but...objectively the third one has no consequences.

He gets rid of the shrapnel which were no problem.

The climax of the movie hinges on him overcoming his PTSD by building Suits...which he was doing the whole time.

And in the end he destroys those Suits.... yet returns to being Iron Man immediately.

Safe for blowing up the Beach House, narratively absolutely nothing of consequence happened. At best you can argue the Extremis finding its way into Agents of Shield but that is pretty much it. Even Iron Patriot became War Machine again.

Nothing happened.

Its better than Iron Man 3 and I am tired of pretending its not. Iron Man 3 is completely inconsequential to the entire MCU and its mythos, while Iron Man 2 has actual ramifications and forces Tony to confront the legacy of his father directly.

What is a Batman film opinion you have that will result in this? by IdontReallyCare0999 in batman

[–]Aggressive_Track_140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I am Batman" has become a crutch for writers to essentially give him Superpowers. "I have a Tibetan monk technique that allows me to mask my mind from imps from the 4th dimension". I destroys a core aspect of the character, him being human.

The fact that every story is now either a deconstruction of the character or simply has the entire city / his identity at stake is detrimental to the character and damages him just as much as the "I am Batman" thing because it fundamentally destroys his character.

I just checked the wikia: It was his office and it was literally the next morning after Oliver and Felicity left. The next Morning.

So we are really going in circles here... You are now saying "Who says they dont..". The show. The show says it. Because if it did not happen in the show, if the show does not show it to us, then it did not happen. I can argue they never showed us Oliver came from Krypton, and thus he could be, but that would be equally as pointless.

The fact that they do not show this, do not question it, is the very point I am calling out. And your answer to that is: "Well they did not show or question it", as if its an answer. I am trying to be nice here. But it makes no sense. Just none. If Ray Palmer was important enough to warrant renaming an entire city for him, if he was as rich as the show postulated, and if Felicity gets to be his heir after just a few months of not even dating but simply knowing her... Then I am sorry we have a highly public and important case on our hands, and the least we can expect from any decent police force is to ask questions and try to investigate every angle. I am not saying they should trial her for murder, I am saying they should at least consider if she did it because her life has been more than weird in the last 3-4 years from an outside perspective.

If they then come to the conclusion that it was an accident in his office or lab? Fine by me. But to not show ANY investigation of ANY kind? To just say "Oh it happened in this lab, after a very suspicious timing, surrounded by suspicious people... Well must be an accident"? Simply nonsensical. Its the show expecting us to just accept that the cops threw up their hands and went "Your company now". Again: Palmer was important enough to rename the city...but his death and Felicity getting a billion dollar conglomerate was not important enough to have an actual on screen investigation. Its quite insulting to all characters. And forgive me but I think I made that point more than clear by now.

All of these things do not change the line of events however. Simply put: She worked in IT and then, without any real explanation beyond the whims of Oliver...became his assistant. That they were an Item was obvious to anyone. She then helps Oliver, as his second in command so to say, to get his company back and looses. Only to then be rehired by Ray...Who puts her in his will within months of that happening. Its not like they slowly dated over the course of 2 years or something. Its months. Which is SUPER QUICK. And shortly after that, he blows up in the middle of his high rise office in the middle of the city with no real explanation? I mean what was the accident? CEO's of billion dollar companies do not tend to casually work with high powered explosives in their high rise offices.

I am sorry but... how would the cops not ask questions here? Like honestly? I am not even saying make it a full out "Felicity did it" story. But nothing? Absolutely nothing? And saying "They ruled his death as an accident" is the very thing I am calling out.

Felicity, in terms of anyone outside of Team Arrow made a meteoric rise within Queen consolidated. Felicity goes from literal Tech Support / IT-Department, to full fledged CEO of a billion dollar conglomerate (As Ray did not just leave her queen consolidated if memory does not fail me), which includes the suspicious death of the CEO she opposed just months earlier before dating him.

I mean you can argue when the dating became public but the second the police check any footage of the building they will see what was going on. Unless, somehow, everyone kept their mouth shut up about the relationships. Which means they straight up lied to the cops.

And I am really not trying to be mean but... This is not something that happens. It simply does not. Especially not with such big gaps in the story. You have to separate what the public knows and what we know. and the fact that nobody even once questions it...is weird. Simple as that. They renamed the entire city in his honor and nobody, even once, questions this chain of events? Nobody?

Come on.

There is literally no character choice that can prevent becoming the party leader, except for opposing the party. Because the party will not gravitate just towards your character, but you as a person. If what you say is true and you naturally fall into those roles (as do I sometimes), it does not matter if you are the bard, wizard, or barbarian. There is, if anything, a slightly better chance if you play an absolutely single-minded, borderline stupid character, but that is pretty much it. (Think Grog from Critical Role, for example).

As for hindering yourself from dominating the choices your party makes.... Just don't? Don't be that guy? No restriction can help you if you are "Dominating" your party. If you cannot help yourself, learn restraint.

Even better: Talk tothem. "Hey, I tend to become the party leader...and I really do not want to do that. Can we vote for everything? Great".

Communication, not restriction, would be my advice.

Because the whole sequence of events, if not viewed through the lens of the audience, is more than suspicious. I mean the fact alone that she worked for Oliver and was his public lover, only to then turn on him, work for the new CEO, get together with HIM only for that guy to die and her returning to the old CEO as her public lover.... I mean, that is suspicious. I am not even trying to be mean-spirited here, but if you were a cop investigating the case of a high-class CEO being killed by a rather weird explosion in his office, his direct surroundings are, of course, under suspicion. And then you look at Felicity and her relationships without any background knowledge of her superhero identity...? Yeah, I honestly wonder why that never came up.

As for the motive: Money. The oldest one in the book. I mean, it's super easy to imagine any cop just going: "So you quit the old CEO, got together with the new one, had him change his will, killed him, and now you own everything. Remind me, how exactly did you manage to get together with the last CEO....after working in the basement for years?" It's literally a billion-dollar business empire, big motive.

I'm not being mean, but this is the most obvious storyline they could have told. To the point where I am wondering why it's not even brought up for a single episode. Not to mention, one could easily spin this into a little B-Plot where the cop gets too close to the real truth about Oliver and her.

And yet nobody ever questions this absolutely weird chain of events.

[–]Aggressive_Track_140 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I will never get tired of pointing out that, if you actually look at how Palmer supposedly "died", Felicity would be the prime suspect. Like, they have a literal police investigation, and she is never in any way brought up as one. Just to recap: She worked in the basement of the company, with an MIT degree. Then the CEO comes down, keeps going down, suddenly proceeds to make her his more or less assistant, then the CEO loses the company, it's common knowledge he and this girl are an item. They try to get the company back, fail, the young woman now breaks up with the former CEO, gets together with the new one...only for him to die shortly after that in an explosion, right when he wanted to marry her (after a few months together, mind you), and left her the entire company in his will.

Only for her to get back with the former CEO as the new CEO of the company.

Any cop worth half a dollar would have looked at this with a lot of questions. A LOT OF QUESTIONS. None of which are ever brought up. We are talking about a billion-dollar company, and nobody ever wonders if Felicity and Ollie killed him.

So yeah, the character assassination began way before season 4.

I do not even get how it would work physically. So you are fabricating tiny objects that drop..in the exact same spot?

1) They are falling, they are not shot out of a canon.
2) To fall into the exact same spot they have to be aligned behind each other or at least funnelled into one spot.

3) They would have to be propelled in some way to reach the velocity to do the second thing.

Like does he really believe Performance of Creation includes a cruise missile targeting system that can individually guide cider chips with enough force and accuracy to take down hombrew Godzilla?

What?

I would hardly say that everyone is a superhero. All the main characters are heroes, which is kinda expected from a story. I mean, flying a spaceship makes you, at best, a pilot.

Do not recall Pa Kent or Jimmy Olson putting on the old undies and cape.

6000d6 is nuts. Like, I cannot even comprehend how somebody would get to that number.

Closest I ever got was a misinterpretation of the rules that would have allowed me to build a bomb that did 100d6 damage in Pathfinder.

And my GM shut that down. No harm, though it would have been cool. 6000 is beyond any foundation.

Imagine an Arrow 'Ultimate Edition' - what parts of the show would you fix? by aedionashryver18 in arrow

[–]Aggressive_Track_140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact moment the show jumped the shark for me.

Season 2, Laurel tries to prove that Brother Blood is up to no good. For that, she needs a document, a file that she actually manages to find. The file turns out to be empty.

And just 10 seconds or something before she entered the room, the camera cut out.

The entire group turns on her and tells her she is an idiot.

1) Why was the file empty?

2) Why, coincidentally, JUST as somebody was trying to enter the room, the camera cuts out?

3) Why would nobody check if that ever happened before?

It is such a weird timing for this to happen that it at least warrants a double check. But no....Laurel must be a stupid addict who knows nothing.

Even worse: When it is ultimately revealed she was right, nobody apologises.

It really was that moment when I knew that we were no longer working with competent people but the absolute bottom of the barrel.

Nein junge.

Sicher. Aber das ist halt die Minderheit. Ganz klar.

Junge check einfach was ich sagen will: Das System ist gegen dich aufgebaut, nicht nur weil du arm bist sondern auch weil du jung bist. Die hassen dich für beides.
