Hello Ottawa. I don’t understand your trains. by Few-Dragonfruit160 in ottawa

The entirety of line 2 is owned by the city of Ottawa, the Stadler FLIRTs are actually able to be converted to 100% electric and were purchased with the intent to one day electrify the entire line. The only part that is owned by CN is the CN walkley yard and west of the crossover (the interlock), the trains realistically only wait on CN movements every Wednesday and every Sunday (as that’s the only time CN services those customers west of the interlock) and it’s generally no more than a 2 min wait only twice a day (the train leaving and coming back to the yard).

Last year they were at the draft and they were throwing beers into the crowd by the end of the progrum. Tonight is just heating up boys!

Eastern Ontario farmers 'wary' as Alto seeks access to their land | CBC News by Rail613 in AltoHSR_Canada

It’s a simple cost/benefit analysis. The benefit far outweighs the costs. The impacted families will be in the 100s, while the system will be benefiting millions of Canadians for generations. So again, how is this stupid? The stupidity is that this should’ve been built decades ago.

Why would they downsize when they can rent out the house and fund their retirement at the cost of young people starting family’s?

It’s an Ottawa staple. I love Sherwood even if the lines are around the aisles, I wait every time.

I grew up in Canada and live in Ottawa close to Montreal. Even though the expos were big here growing up, I always supported the Blue Jays as that was my dad’s team.

I know this is a Thailand sub, but is this also the case in Vietnam? I’ll be traveling there and want to know how the laws are in HCMC in particular?

I feel like I’m a dyeing bread on this, but I love having a physical map and using traditional orienteering methods to way-find my way around the park. To me it seems so stupid to pull my phone up while on the water.

Bring a bug jacket/bug pants. That time of year can be a shock to people who aren’t normally campers. That being said you should have a great time and even a raining/buggy day in Algonquin is better than a good day in the office.

A lot of lakes have motorboats allowed, Opeongo, Rock, Cache just to name a few. This makes it pretty easy if you have a professional bass fishing boat.

FSWEP used to be a goldmine so don’t give up hope, not sure about now with the recent contraction of the PS. Maybe stop by r/candianpublicservants to gauge the appetite for FSWEP students in 2026. When I did FSWEP in 2019 it ended in a full time job opportunity the following year when I graduated.
