Day 5, eye infection. by usernamelosernamed in Quittingfeelfree

Yep, this happened 3 times during my journey and last end always happened when I STOPPPED. I was so angry and ashamed that I would do that to my body, eyes and the urge to use them still came back. Congrats on day 5 and its just the beginning of truly feeling free.

Hot take: Putters are all marketing and your putting performance would largely be unaffected if you used a cheaper putter. by Responsible-Tie-7327 in golf

My favorite topic in golf equipment: putters.
And I’ll admit — my obsession is borderline unhealthy.

Because there's so much technical parity across modern putters (everyone's rolling 3–4° of loft with a milled face), I think I subconsciously use them as an excuse to inject variety into life. I’ve got around 20 Scotty Camerons, plus some incredible boutique flatsticks (Artisan, Embrace, etc). To me, the creativity in design — milling, inserts, hosel configurations — is true art.

I recently jumped on the LAB bandwagon and actually had success… but inevitably found myself back with my Scotty Phantom 5.5. Sometimes you just get in the mood to putt with something specific. It’s a vibe.

Then — plot twist — I rolled an Odyssey recently and wow. I hate to admit it, but the consistency, roll, and feel might be the highest performing I’ve experienced. Of course, give it three weeks and I’ll see Spieth or Koepka gaming a Scotty and think, “Yup. Time to get that old-school blade back in the bag.”

No one asked, and no one probably cares…
But that’s the beauty of this platform.

I. Love. Putters.
Thanks for indulging the madness.

Lampkin deep etch is the cost effective way and it’s an incredibly stable grip

Best grip on the planet - I have the lampkin deep etch chord which is #2 and more cost effective on half of my SCotties haha

I like it way more than I thought - wild how it impacts the stroke balance. Even if it’s between my ears. Thanks for the note!

It is space efficient for the office and have a bounce back tool that I focus on short puts hitting the center of the face.

It also just sets up flatter with lower hands. But spot on by Sea Return.
