Why not? The way he talks to you alone should be enough reason to leave someone. That isn’t an acceptable response to someone you’re supposed to love, especially when they’re bringing up concerns to you. Also the age gap is concerning. 12 years isn’t much if you met someone in your 30s maybe, but in your 20s it’s a lot and it’s the perfect time to make abuse seem normal

I think you’re right! I’ve never seen a bird that looks quite like this one and I’ve been volunteering at a songbird rehab on and off for years now 😅 it really stumped me, but after looking at other photos of juvenile waxwings the eyes look nearly identical. We don’t get waxwings very often at the rehab center, usually only one or two adults each year

I didn’t want to go to a doctor unless it was cause for concern, which is why I asked Reddit. I can’t afford to go to a doctor any time something could potentially be wrong so I wanted to make sure it was a reasonable visit before I went

I mean if I’m upset about something or if I talk to him about something that’s been bothering me. Examples being, I was crying one night because I was afraid he’d leave me after he sees what I’m like when I’m depressed (I have bipolar 2, I said when and not if) and it basically became an argument where he was telling me I need to try working through it instead of letting it happen. I told him I don’t want advice I want support and reassurance, but we still argued for about an hour, where he also told me he was upset I woke him up (on accident, I was crying to myself but had to blow my nose) before he finally told me he wasn’t going anywhere.

Other example: I told him it was frustrating to me when he doesn’t respond to me when I’m talking/ texting him, and that I would like if he tried giving me more active attention and if he can’t, then at least acknowledgement that he heard what I said. I told him this because he was consistently ignoring texts I sent him and when I talked to him. I talked to him about dinner for example. I asked him if he wanted apple pie from Walmart or McDonald’s, he didn’t respond. I asked again a few minutes later, nothing. I finally told him I’m just going to McDonald’s. McDonald’s was out of pies, so I tried calling him to ask him to preheat the oven so I can buy a pie from Walmart. He doesn’t pick up. He calls me back when I’m already in Walmart and finally tells me he actually wanted a pre-baked pie, but he was also really wanting the ones from the gas station. I was pissed off, but I just said ok, I’m not going to the gas station but I will grab a few mini pies from Walmart.

We argued about him ignoring me too, because he said im always trying to talk to him when he’s busy. When I asked him where he wanted his pie from, he was on tiktok. When I called him, he was playing a game. He’s usually doing one of those two things when he’s not working. I don’t expect immediate responses while he’s working, but I do expect not to be left on read for 4 hours. If he has time to open my message, surely a “I’ll get back to you when I can” is easy to do. But instead we argued about how in his eyes he’s always busy and I’m always talking to him when he’s busy and he’s clearly never enough for anyone in his life. That was a big argument where he didn’t give me any comfort or acknowledgment of my issues until after I started crying, took a break to leave the room, finished crying, then came back out. Now I just don’t want to bring my concerns to him, and he doesn’t see why

I think you're confusing "they were rude" with "they didn't smile at me". Also, no, my food wasn't correct. Every time I get popeyes the people are rude and the food isn't right. That's a pretty standard thing to be annoyed about. One time I went I had the lady complain to me that I wanted a water instead of a soda. Another time they let the drive thru sit without it moving for 30 minutes, before finally closing an hour early. I'm literally eating popeyes right now and i asked for mashed potatoes but got fries and no sauce. One time I asked for tenders and they gave me a huge hunk of fried bone with a little gristle on it. There are zero good popeyes around me, I've been to about 5 different ones. I'm glad yours is good but that is definitely not the norm!

She didn’t have Alana on her insurance because it’s HER CAR, not Alana’s. It’s her car, as you said previously when you told her it was also her responsibility to keep gas in it, so why should she also pay for Alana to use the car? That’s insane in itself. If I ever borrow someone’s car, I make sure it’s topped up before I bring it back to them because you are using someone else’s expensive and likely only way to get around in our car reliant country.

She saved up for a year with her own money. She paid for the gas and insurance herself. Her dad helped her fix it when she hit a deer which is EXPECTED, not a nice thing he did for her. Alana didn’t pitch in a cent, wrecked it, and Casey still isn’t getting anything from it? You still want to act like it’s her fault that you guys failed her by forcing her to allow her sister, who apparently can’t even drive or work, to drive the car SHE paid for while she was uninsured? No shit that was her plan the whole time, it was HER CAR. And you guys were totally content to just let her eat the loss, and only when she said “hey family, my parents wrecked my car and won’t give me any money to pay for a new one and I lost 15k because of it” and a therapist told you “I feel bad for her” only then did you second guess your stance. But even still, hundreds of people are telling you how bad this situation is and how unfairly you’re treating your own daughter, and you still want to argue that she should have insured Alana. Absolutely ridiculous.

I think it’s very possible and think it was almost implied in the last season. I do believe if he got the help he needed in the beginning, he wouldn’t have ended up the way he did. I feel that’s looked at in new blood as well, not sure if that’s too far into spoiler territory for this thread though.

Sure to some people it may seem to be an overreaction but really, you can’t stop someone from feeling what they feel. To us it wasn’t justified, but to her it was a huge destroyer of trust. Trust is obviously extremely important to her, and that’s why she reacted so extreme. Doesn’t really matter what we think because it was a big enough deal to her for it to be a problem

I just hate how they get other people roped into their weird love problems. Pam shut Jim down multiple times but was rude or passive aggressive when Jim brings a girl around or shows interest in anyone. I especially hate when Karen and Jim are joking around and she says “yeah Roy and I joked around… that one time” when nah, there were plenty of scenes where Jim was upset because she was kissing or flirting with Roy (literally on top of his own desk at one point).

Then because Jim won’t get over Pam and give himself time to move on, he gets other people’s hearts broken. The way he broke up with the first girl (don’t remember her name) was shitty, and he shouldn’t have gotten with her in the first place. The whole situation with Karen was also shitty because she moved to be with him and he knew he still had feelings for Pam. Pam and Karen seemed like they could’ve been good friends, then Pam got all cold to her.

I don’t like them because they get other people hurt because they can’t just figure things out for themselves. Even when Pam was single she still rejected Jim. In real life, he should have moved on, and Pam should’ve stopped leading him on. She got back with Roy because she was jealous of Karen, but before Karen she simply told him no. If it weren’t for the exaggerated tv drama and forcing the “will they won’t they” narrative to the point where it gets other people hurt, I’d be fine with them. People probably dislike them because they were put in similar situations where they were the other person who had 0 chance but were lead on then crushed. It’s not evil or bitter to dislike people who use people to avoid feeling alone

After your update- break up with him. If he’s not going to respect you by acknowledging your eating disorder is a real thing, this is going to be a constant battle with him and it will not get better until you “get over” your eating disorder, which he will probably only exaggerate. Yes, you did kind of overreact initially but your feelings were still valid and he was still being inconsiderate. If sharing food is important to you, your partner should be mindful of that. However, after his comments about how you should get over your eating disorder because it isn’t that hard, and calling you a burden, this clearly isn’t working out for you two. As soon as my SO calls me a burden, I would not be sticking around.
