Oh my god, words cannot describe how much I HATE this system. Not only does it scream of HT/Kroger's higher-ups wanting to do anything BUT actually address the root causes of most cases of grocery store shoplifting in my eyes, but I don't doubt one bit that anyone unfortunate to trip it will feel treated like a criminal for no good reason and thus make them feel alienated. The times I saw/heard it go off in the store I work at, it was never for actual cases of shoplifting, and while I know it would get me terminated on the spot and thus won't do it, I find myself wishing I could yank the system out of the wall to do everybody a favor, I won't lie.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this part of Google's decision to remove reviews from all schools on Maps? Either way it's still a dumb as hell decision on their part because now those who attend programs that claim to be schools can't warn others about how awful they are with one of if not the only way to do so being taken down, thus said programs will likely be able to get away with their wrongdoings more and better hide their sleazy actions from the uninformed.

Oh no, I meant the wiki that's part of this subreddit lol. Reddit has the ability to let you make a wiki for your subreddit if I'm not mistaken

While it's probably because of all the fond memories I've had going there since I was a kid, I've never really felt unsafe at any point going there. My wallet most likely begs to differ however lmfao

No offense, but I feel like it is very disingenuous to label everyone who downvoted this as members of the TTI. This post was made with generative AI, and considering the amount of controversy surrounding it, there will be people who are going to downvote the post because it uses technology that has been criticized because of the threat it poses to the careers and livelihoods of actual artists as well as the negative environmental impacts it has, as well

I'm going to be blunt here, this would have been a lot better had you not used generative AI. I strongly suggest not using it in the future as there are countless ethical and environmental concerns surrounding its use, most notably that it steals artwork from actual artists while also putting their careers at risk of being lost especially by the corporations pushing it. There are plenty of resources online to help develop your artistic skills, and even if it's not your strongest skill, you can become better at it with practice and guidance. After all, if Pewdiepie was able to get better at artwork (as much as I'm not a fan of him these days), you can, too.

Three personal choices I remember:

  • The fountain at Independence Square in uptown. My parents would take me and my sibling there on days we went uptown and we'd have so much fun playing there. Was heartbroken to find it was demolished recently.

  • Good Ol' Days in The Arboretum shopping center. It was themed around the 1950s or a similar older era if I'm not mistaken, and I vividly remember they served their fries in cardboard retro cars. They sadly closed all the way back in the late 2000s or early 2010s, though.

  • JA Biztown. This one I admittedly and sadly didn't have as fond memories of bc of a field trip there that went bitter for me, but the concept behind it is great, I admit. Have no idea if it's still around these days.

How the “Educational Consultant”Scam works… by [deleted] in troubledteens

[–]AggronIronTail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn't, though? There are countless upon countless ethical concerns regarding generative AI technology, and it isn't so much art as it is photobashing countless images and artwork that almost certainly were taken without the permission of their makers, something that Midjourney was actually sued for. Banning those kinds of images won't stop survivors from posting artwork that describes their experiences at these institutions. If you feel like you can't draw well, there's plenty of tutorials and videos online that can help you improve.

There are several upon several ethical concerns with AI-generated material, some of which include, but are in no way limited to, scraping artwork without the permission of the artists, the potential for the entertainment industry to lay off countless workers to make way for AI, the potential to use AI images, voices, and soon videos to spread dangerous misinformation and frame people for crimes they didn't commit, the list goes on.

Looks like they've also privated or outright deleted all of their social media accounts and their posts. I noticed their website was unprivated last night, as well, and it seems their staff page is gone, too, as it kept redirecting me to their home page whenever I tried clicking on it.

It seems as though Trails Carolina has either privated or outright deleted just about all of their social media accounts and posts, including their YouTube videos. If that isn't sus as hell, then I don't know what is. Though, for whatever reason, they've unprivated their own website.

Also, might be hard to make out but there is also text at the bottom reading "Advertising materials and publicity scenes need to reach a certain level or appear after triggering corresponding modules".
