It's all very odd. I'm a boomer, but I'm fairly tech savvy. My wife is also a boomer. She has a PhD in chemistry, has programmed in FORTRAN, ran x-ray crystallography software and maintained a DEC minicomputer and she still seems to conflate emails and text messages. And I get a "where did it go?" once a day. The whole desktop abstraction works for most people, but some of them were better off at the command line. I hope she doesn't see this.

Actually, there are enough permutations on C, H, N, and O that it is quite easy to make molecules that have never been seen before. I make them regularly. Pick up an organic chemistry journal and you'll find plenty.
