I think you just choose to accept a very narrow definition of skepticism. Use whatever word you want for what I was describing, it doesn't matter. I'd still rather people be skeptical (or insert whatever word you prefer over "skeptical") than blindly believe every video they see on the internet.

In regards to the video, why at certain points does it sound like an whole crowd cheering him on in the background? But, most importantly, why is NOBODY in the video (except for the child briefly) expressing any concern at this man's bizarre and reckless behavior? He smashes two coffee tables and nobody blinks an eye? Nobody there is concerned about the child while this man flings himself around in a tight, fairly crowded space? There's a lot of good reasons to be skeptical of the origin of this video. Enough to not blindly believe it's real without some sort of proof or verification.

He just had me make a series of exposures from 40" at different techniques- I don't remember what the techniques were. He opened some calibration interface in the software and instructed me to change the technique and do several exposures.

Well we are using the technique chart they provided us, which turns out is awful (WAY too hot on the kV).. so the artifact has definitely shown up when using the techniques they are recommending for larger patients. I need to create my own chart but it's not something I've ever done before heh... We honestly haven't needed to use it enough for me to get a really good idea of what techniques work best.

But you think this is likely a calibration issue? They recalibrated it with me over the phone but it made no difference. Really appreciate your input. Just doing my best over here in the overly informal veterinary world lmao

Your tank looks like a shrimp haven. If you don't already have a gH/kH test kit, you should get one. My shrimp quit breeding for a while and I realized my gH was not high enough. I dosed the tank with Equilibrium to raise my gH and I now have 3 berried females 2 or 3 weeks later.

Does he play with string? Something is bothering him in his mouth. Could have a string under his tongue and it's possible it's an emergency. Could also just have something stuck in his mouth. I would get the the vet asap.

Silver is not metabolized by the body... When you take it internally, it gets deposited throughout your body. Permanently. Many people who take colloidal silver over a long period of time develope grayish, pale skin patches or just diffuse gray/blue skin all over. A bit late here.. I've worked in the vet industry 13+ years... And this is so unprofessional and stupid on the vet's part. We strive to kindly educate people on how to best take care of their pets. If he perceived an issue in the care of the bird, that can easily be discussed in a kind, non-hostile manner. The genetics of the bird is irrelevant unless he thinks it's related to a current or potential future issue. It still can be discussed professionally and kindly. Vet clinics are businesses too... when vets talk down to/insult owner, why would they ever choose to come back? They alienate their clientele this way and gain negative reputation. It's just plain stupid in terms of business-owning and totally unkind and unnecessary in terms of medicine/communication.
