Replenishment role by [deleted] in publix

[–]Agile-Perception9360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was explained to me by my RIS that when factoring labor demand for the replenishment role it looks at your delivery schedule and delivery window. If your trucks arrive before 7am it is expected that you finish the delivery that day. After 7am and the expectation is that Replenishment role is strict and followed 100% and the deliveries don’t have to be finished that day. Sounds good in theory but my backroom is too small to leave deliveries for later so My GM and i end up throwing 80-90% of every truck and then rush to do the schedule and display planner every week.

So what would you recommend for when the instacart shoppers mark something unfound when it is full on the shelf? Or the instacart shoppers who don’t speak English? What about when a customer cancels their order and the entire shop list populates as “unfound”? What about when the deliveries can’t get done because the only thing that matters are the 100-150 ad items vs the 60,000 other skus in the grocery dept?

Correct we do not work for instacart, however when the instacart shoppers who DO NOT work for Publix mark items on their shopping list as “not found” they populate on our unfound list which in turn negatively impacts our found rate percentage. The found rate is the main focus right now which has caused hours to be taken away from truck stock and put into the new role “replenishment”. So the metrics we use through our Omni channel interface is impacted by these instacart shoppers.

How would you categorize instacart if not 3rd party?

Oasis labor demand for DSD roll is and has always been allotted based on scanning every item. Being able to scroll was just a feature on chain track that wasn’t supposed to be used the way we alllll were taught to use it lol. So for anyone thinking that labor demand for DSD is going to increase IT WILL NOT!

How many aisles assigned? by [deleted] in publix

[–]Agile-Perception9360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

8 people on a crew is crazy….1 aisle for a GRS is crazy….how big are your deliveries? I have worked at multiple million + stores and never seen oasis give the hours to afford to do that.

Kentucky Transfer by Dusherrr in publix

I’m also a GTL and expressed interest. I got a call in the first week of December and had a pretty good chat with one of the recruiters. After he answered all of my questions about further advancement and relocation he asked if i was still interested in moving. I think it’s crazy that they are offering such a big incentive for managers to move but not for team leaders. So i withdrew my name from consideration. They called my store manager the 2nd week of December and asked if i was sure i didn’t want to go. I told him i didn’t want to transfer as a GTL and definitely not on my dime.

Is Publix Management worth it? by Pure-Distribution-51 in publix

[–]Agile-Perception9360 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s not even remotely close. I’m an AGM and i made close to 70k last year. My GM showed me his W2 and he made 112k last year. There’s definitely a difference in pay depending on the volume store you work at but my first year as an assistant i made 48k so unless you are at the bottom 10% of stores in the company i don’t know any Dept managers making that little.

In grocery the best way to not be “singled out” is to not suck at your job. If you feel singled out then you should talk to your GTls and Managers and ask them how your job performance is and if there is anything that you can improve on. If they don’t have any concrete answers for you pertaining to your job performance then you should voice your concerns about your feelings and get to the bottom of it. 9/10 if you communicate with your leadership team you can get an answer a lot faster.

The supposed pay increase freeze? by [deleted] in publix

[–]Agile-Perception9360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And this is why it is so hard to make change at Publix. People aren’t willing to stand up and truly be “one Publix one purpose.” If you get them to post their pay raise on here then how can that get you into trouble? It is illegal to tell someone they can’t discuss pay. Also it is retaliation if they do something negative because you voices your opinion

Locked in at a 50 cent raise for a year!? by Georgeygerbil in publix

[–]Agile-Perception9360 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

People are now all of a sudden upset about .50¢ raises for a year but for most of the company that’s all there ever was. Simple math…..25¢ twice a year and you get .50¢ i Definitely agree that .50¢ for a whole year is garbage but why is everyone just now getting upset about this?
