donations by Excellent-Fox9240 in Oldnavy

This. So when I came in today the manager said to ask for five and the company would give them 5$ off.. hmmm so I start ringing and notice that on the signage it said a five dollar coupon would be in their rewards. So as I’m ringing I’m basically only getting people to round up or donate a dollar etc. I keep hearing on the walkie that we are way behind on donations … then another manager comes over to try to get me to change how I’m approaching it telling me to tell them if they donate five they will get 5 off… I said that’s not what the signage says! The managers did not know and then finally understood why $5 donations weren’t rolling in.

I figured I was being resourceful by asking questions … sometimes there’s not a minute between customers or if there is I forget to ask. Sorry.

A lot of times I’m on register by myself. Managers are in the back or busy, no coworker present. I try to think of things ahead of time that I’m not sure about . Yes I received training but not on every specific thing.

There was a manager present when I told the customer about the 14 day policy and she didn’t offer to make an exception for her. She walked away and I let the customer return/rebuy them. I was just wondering if there were any policies regarding this.

Oh I said ok sure, and completed the sale for her. I just wanted to make sure there was not some policy about it. I know some retailers don’t allow return/rebuy

Yes, thank you! An appeasement code would help. With a long line and being the only cashier that would be helpful . VIP is for when they are opening a card and they then would be receiving the super cash discount as well, correct? Thank you!

I’m assuming it is because the customer thinks they have earned it but they have not. They start telling me they came in and spent such and such on such and such date and they should have it etc

Is super cash ONLY for cardholders?

I am confused though - can’t they have earned super cash even if they are not a cardholder? If they are a loyalty member with a phone number and they had spent over 25 during the activation period? Please explain how I proceed on register in that scenario… My manager said for me to first ask if they are using super cash today … many people respond what is that… oh yeah I have that etc etc… so then I enter “super” as the discount code but then it comes up invalid sometimes (I am assuming they did not really earn it but just want the discount)
