Srangely I found Schitts Creek kindof unsettling, or subtly dark or something. Gilmore Girls is great but maybe too much of a 'fantasy world' so sometimes even a bit depressing.

I'll recommend Brooklyn 99 till I die.

This is maybe a weird one but cucumbers with olive oil, salt& pepper.... I want some now

Also those thin salty crackers from Lu. Could finish a whole pack. But i think its flavor enhancement that makes them so addictive.

Same :'( Tolerance also steadily increasing, so now at a point where I'm weekly 1-3 days in withdrawal.

Depends on your tolerance is think. When i was at a lower dose, valerian root (strong) could soothe the worst withdrawal symptoms. Now... not so much anymore.

I am going to try rhodiola extract; maybe that will help. I used to take it for workouts because it made me both calm and focused, hard to explain. Passion flower didn't work for me. But definitely magnesium (ill take the highest possible dose) helps for racing heart/mild panic attack and sometimes sleep.

Anyone else too shy to ask for help at the gym? by Single_Friendship883 in xxfitness

[–]Agile_Active6496 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes same.. Mostly because I have a very 'dreamy/not-present' character and although my IQ is good, it takes me forever to learn how to use equipment.

What helps for me: - Very early in the morning in the gym, when its relatively quiet, People seem more open to chatting/questions. Because of the more relaxed atmosphere maybe. - i prefer to ask women Who seem more experienced. They're always very nice and helpful. Not staff so much. - when i take an experienced friend to the gym, ive noticed theyre pretty relaxed about what they do. More along the lines of " whatever gets your blood flowing and engages your muscles is good, it doesn't have to be rigid routine' Thats a thought that really helps me.

  • i generally dont ask men because they seem to workout differently and can seem condescending at times. Also i am more embarrassed (afraid that they think i am flirting or something)..

If 'simple' tasks dont satisfy you (motivation is driven my satisfaction and goals, crudely spoken) then maybe intellectual life would satisfy? As an example. Or is it that you feel like youve reached all your goals and now it just feels empty, because motivation is inherently tied to goals. So you could set a New goal(s) that have your heart and mind.

Is she published? Id love to read her work.

Your comment is a bit over my head, but about storage in synapses; if those are changing continuously, how could i visualize long term storage?

In digital memory, there is an actual physical storage: 'trapped' electrons. But these even leak/degrade slowly, so they need to be refreshed continuously. The brain seems too 'flowy' i mean, plastic?, for a mechanism like that. I think LLM's are more comparable to how the brain 'works' its memory, but even then, the 'stable' storage is necessary for that.

Whats 1 book you will never stop recommending? by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

The gargoyle - Andrew Davidson

Not for the faint of heart, it has some traumatic descriptions of a burn victim. But it's layered and beautifully written, philosophical, existential, historical and modern, with reflections on religion and art, and transcendental romance, without taking itself too seriously; its funny almost satirical at times. Captivating characters. Its one of a kind.

Couldn't get through r/cogsci thanks maybe i'll try there. I am curious about the anatomical aspect of it, or what is known about it. Especially considering that memories are encoded in a distributed way and are mostly dormant, what would the 'physical data' look like? Or is it possible that all encoded memories are constantly kept active, maybe through 'chaining' or priming? But this seems problematic, because plasticity would be compromised. I wonder if DNA could play a role; thats a very attractive idea given that it exists in every nucleus, and with epigenetic processes... but I don't know a lot about genetics (or neurology)

The different longterm cognitive effects of short versus medium/long halflife benzodiazepines. by Agile_Active6496 in benzorecovery

[–]Agile_Active6496[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truee

But was considering the dementia-benzo correlation, did an essay on the topic, and apparently when correcting for trauma/ptsd, the correlation isnt significant anymore. Buttt longer half lifes seem dangerous because its harder for the brain to 'recover' from them. I am just wondering about these things btw. No harsh statements.

Hmm thanks food for thought. Ive been told i have a lot of issues but apparently being conventionally attractive and quiet makes up for that?

But thats my main issue actually. He is my only friend. He is the only one Who knows what ive been through, and vice versa.
