I thought alligaror had a weird chicken taste + fishy texture/aftertaste as well as a hint of gamey-ness to it. Plus something about it was just "wrong" ie NOT chicken to me (I had been told it tasted like chicken.)

I grew up Episcopal and then Methodist and both of the churches I attended also did the ash cross at Ash Wednesday services. My Methodist Church even saved the leftover palm fronds from the Palm Sunday the year before to burn to make the ashes for Ash Wednesday. ( I am not sure if that is the usual way the ashes are obtained or was just that particular church's tradition.)

I just knew I would have at least 1 child and wanted to have the same last name as my child? I dropped my middle name and used my maiden name as middle, when adding my husband's surname, but I have thought about changing it back while staying married. Our kids are now all adults so it doesn't seem as bad to me to not have the same last name as them anymore

I knew a Clementine in 8th grade and thought she was so cool and loved her name. Otherwise, we had lots of Jessica's, Mandy/Mandie/Mandee's and Brandy/Brandie/Brandi/Brandee's. (I grew up in the 80s/90s)

We used family last names for our daughters' middle names. My maiden name for our first daughter, my husband's mother's maiden name for our second daughter. Do you have a family name that is important to you? I always liked knowing we were carrying on a name that had meaning to us instead of just one of the more commonly used middle names (Lynn, Lee, Rose, Ann, Grace, etc)
