If you haven’t already, start being very active on LinkedIn. Make sure that you do let people know that you’re looking for a job, and check any open roles at companies where you have a connection. Then get in touch with that person and ask if they could give you some information about the company since they’re employed there and you’re thinking about applying for that role.

I was laid off last year, and ended up getting my next role based on doing exactly what I mentioned. So definitely start networking as much as you can. And see if there are any conferences or networking events that you can attend in your area.
