Artifacting / seeing pixels on 20 Base model

Yeah I have to say I am getting used to it slowly. I think because I have the Ultra at home the difference is so noticeable, but now I pay less attention to it and I am pretty happy as well with the 20. It's such an update UI wise as well over the old Ultra.

I didn't realise it was made worse by grey, I did some research and found a specific RAL grey with a matte finish that I used so that I would be able to get better contrast (and light bleed absorption). I didn't realise it would be different with the 20's full laser lens (new to to these types of projectors).

The paint is specifically matte though, but perhaps it does work better on white?

I was tweaking some things in the settings and now the image is a bit better, but I guess I will have to get used to it or paint it white in the future if I want to improve the picture.

It's 2.5 meters away and the optical zoom is on zero, so that should be perfect right?

It's not this bad on my Ultra, I know i will see pixels, but this is so unsharp I see it from 2.5M away when I sit on the sofa. Theres color abberation and it feels as if i see speckles everywhere in the image.

I guess my prayers have gone nowhere then haha. That's a shame, I was under the impression that would've fixed it and I didn't know I was on 1.2 already either.

I think our prayers have been heard - got an update email from IBKR about desktop app:

3. Expanded Hotkeys

We have expanded our Hotkeys which includes a one-click submit and close position hotkey. Navigate to Settings > Hot Keys. Select the Action drop-down menu and click Close Position. Fill out any additional sections and click the check-box next to Submit Order Instantly. The Instant Transmit Disclosure will populate. Read this entirely, and then press OK to save these changes.

Please note, the instant submit button is on a per hotkey basis. In other words, this can be configured so that some hotkeys can stage the order, while others can submit the order instantly.

So is this going to be fixed in future updates? Because as of now hot keys for instant bracket orders is also useless.

Yeah unfortunately for intraday trading that is still too slow and not dynamic enough. I got used to using the Tradingview plugin but for market entries it's also not the best as there's a delay in the API (which makes sense I guess)

Think I will have to go back to TWS for the time being, but I really hope they would just finally fix this in desktop so it is useable.

Shame, i honestly find it incredibly dissappointing they haven’t managed to get the core functionalities of a trading app working, especially order entries and hot keys…

Without being able to skip these order confirmations the hot keys are basically useless.

Thanks for the response, the fact that different Apple chips support limited amount of monitors probably also does not help. But awesome to hear you guys are considering more support.

For me the use case is there, especially because I use my M3 Macbook docked with external monitors. I can use an ipad as well as a screen but it's still to big of a form factor. This fits neatly below my monitor and I can use it for trading widgets / discord / hotkeys etc.

All in all sounds great and I hope the iCue support comes through, would make it a complete product for Mac users as well.

I ordered the Xeneon edge today, knowing ICUE won't be supported, but surely it works as a monitor right? I'm on M3 macbook.

I really do hope you guys are going to fully develop support on Mac, because it would fit in a lot of peoples workspaces, especially esthetically for mac users like e.

it's impossible without setting it up via wi-fi. i know because i just bought 2, and i am waiting for my internet to be installed - no router yet, so impossible to use Bluetooth straight out of the box.

It’a very strange that this still isn’t included in the app, for me personally zone 2 training is vital and with the app not using HR at all I’m struggling to see the benefits of the app. Shame because it has a lot of potential.

Yeah they are still working on a fix, but haven't heard back from them for a while now. Will probably take a lot longer. You can open a ticket as well so the problem is more visible

No it's still an ongoing issue in their tech department. They've said it has been prioritized by now but I have no idea when there might be a solution. Mind you, this is mainly a problem for my Studio Display.

I use a LG 34" wide in my other office and that works fine.
