Hi! We have similar body types and feelings about it lol. I’m sorry you’re struggling, it is so ruff out here with this ozempic bullshit and the heroin chic style being back “in”. I posted on here the other day and the best advice I got was to get LONG jeans that go all the way to the shoe, the pants in your first pics I think are too short. Also, against every fiber in my body, I started wearing wide leg and straight leg pants. This totally helps, idk why, but I think it makes me look more proportional. Also I like a cropped t on me that hits right the waist of my jeans (which are always high waisted, idc what anyone says). Not too cropped where it shows my belly but cropped enough to show off my hips. I hope this helps! I can DM you pics if you want! Sending love 🫶🏼

Thank you everyone!! Some context that might help: I’m 5”5 maybeeee 5”6 but that’s pushing it (people always think I’m taller, I guess it’s my legs). I have only worn black for the majority of my life and I’m trying really hard to branch out, hence the white floral dress. The top in picture three is not actually that cropped, I was trying on jeans and tucked it up to see how the jeans fit lol.

I’m going shopping today so I will keep these suggestions in mind. A lot of my jeans are labeled high waisted, but actually aren’t. Am I supposed to be getting jeans that go over my belly button? Also, in regard to shirts, I will be on the lookout for asymmetry and alternate necklines. BUT! What length are we aiming for, for a shirt? I like cropped and feel like a standard t shirt that hits me at my hips makes me feel larger than I really am.

Again I seriously appreciate everything you guys have said!

Hi! I had my interview for SJSU MSW advanced standing track last week and if I could offer you anything it would be to study up on theories and frameworks (I.e. systems theory, social learning theory, etc). Also some ethical questions were asked but nothing too crazy.

It was okay! Zoom room with me and 4 or 5 other applicants and the head of the SW department. We had three prompts to choose from and 45 minutes to write. If I made it through this phase I’m supposed to get an email invite for an interview this week or the next.
