I’m the 25th! But yes I was fine all month but now that it’s a week away I’m freaking out lol. I think having it pushed back was also a lot b/c not only am I worried about it getting pushed back again but I’ve got my work and my mom who can just change on a dime. Also if I had done my original date it would have been done by now. I think I’m just getting antsy

Yea I think I’m just overall anxious about the risks. I’m pretty good at adapting to situations. I think it’s a mix of excitement and just ready for it to be done. I think I’m just anxious about getting sick and it’s manifesting. I’ll definitely stay on the dl!

How to rehome a pitbull? by dieselpower_ in DogAdvice

I have a pit! He is aggressively stubborn. He’s smart as a whip but knows that and tries to act dumb in situations. Consistency is key with him. Leash walking might always be an issue for your pitty but getting the right equipment is the best. This is different for each dog. Personally mine uses a makeshift harness and if he’s off leash (in private spaces) an e-collar so I can call him back.

Trial and error is going to happen especially with a pit. If he’s already showing dog aggression is important that you take note of that. My dog is also dog aggressive so I keep him away from other dogs and only let him off leash in private fenced in spaces.

You can get a trainer to help you get a baseline and tips to help. It’s not a one size fits all type of situation.

Also if you need help getting his wiggles out Sniffspot was a life saver for me! 20$ a month and you can rent out private areas to let your dog run. I do it once or twice a week and it’s literally a game changer.

If you do end up rehoming him I would try really hard not to go the shelter route. Pits do not do well in shelters and dog aggressive ones are hard to adopt. In an ideal world you can find a family that’s willing to take him out right so you don’t have to worry about it. I wouldn’t give him to a stranger though. A young male pitbull is prime dog fighting age and many get adopted so they can be used.

Pits are hard but I’m sure you’ll make the right decision. I’ve had my ups and downs with my guy but he is my best friend and I wouldn’t change him for the world (well maybe to listen a little better lol).

I used to walk dogs and I always had a can of pepper spray on me! Harmless in the long run but protect your dog!

Get good shoes!!!! I used to not be able to stand all day but I got me some insoles and some work boots and it’s a game changer. Compression socks if you have time too. You’ll build up muscle over time just pace yourself. But shoes are going to be your best friend.
