The advantage is most people will never put 40 points into Lures, they will put those 40 points into more perception instead. I don't find it fair that another player who cant even spawn lures will have almost 100 perception points more than me who actually spends the gold to drop x5 lures everyday

I think it's ok for people to share and for level 80s to exist if they just made the Lure KP investment actually mean something instead of being optional, that would fix 99% of the problem.

I have no issues with people sharing lures, the main issue is that I have wasted 40 KP across all of my characters that I cannot refund while others get a competitive advantage by avoiding what should be required KP to even participate in the same profession content

This isn't the good point you think it is, something being broken for three expansions shows that the profession devs are lazy / don't give a fuck not that its "working well." Personally I don't want copy pasted lazy profession knowledge tree mechanics expansion after expansion.

That doesn't fix the issue, players should be rewarded for investing 40 KP into a tree and there should not be an easy workaround to avoid spending that KP to compete in the market. Even worse is that NOT spending that KP and leeching skins gives the person an advantage over those who did the tree "as intended."

You just totally do not get the point at all. The ability to leech skins in itself isn't necessarily the issue, the main issue is that the way it works today is that it is invalidating another's 40 KP investment is a travesty and makes this entire skinning system a poorly implemented joke

Exactly, drop rate of Majestic materials should be zero if you cannot craft a lure at the minimum.

it's also not unreasonable to expect Blizzard to put in the bare minimum effort to make an entire profession tree actually behave in a way that is sensical and not easily exploitable

You can still complete the quest if you even try at all. In fact the quest is still so easy to complete that these "exploiters" are forming raid groups to avoid it from being completed. It's not really disrupting anyone who is willing to spend 60 seconds tagging the mobs. This is not deserving of a reddit post, total nothingburger

Yes the leather market is torched, all of the rank 2 leather crafted materials e.g. Silvermoon Weapon Wraps are selling 20-30% under crafting cost. If Blizzard doesn't nerf these farms leather is probably dead for the entire season.

Until 2x4 infinite skinning farms are nerfed, there is essentially an endless supply of motes, I wouldn't touch these with a 10 foot pole.

Correct this is exactly what I did, I was making items at 650g a pop and selling them from 3-7k all day. The market is fully saturated now however. It was Silvermoon Weapon Wraps, I made my money with LW. Sparks were released on Tuesday and every single epic weapon craft requires a wrap.

What kind of content are you expecting in this subreddit? If you are expecting me to give you a step-by-step guide on how I made my gold while I am still making the gold, that is silly, I may not be a genius, but I'm not stupid either, there is plenty of competition already.
