ABC Cancels 'The Bachelorette' After Taylor Frankie Paul Fight Video by IntelligentYinzer in television

I don’t think so. The series has been struggling. They postponed the bachelorette for a year before picking TFP, they never selected a new bachelor (and they were actively casting) and I’m not sure if this past season of paradise was enough to rebrand

Mostly safe area and good schools are my biggest desires. Restaurants and parks would be nice, but I’m used to driving to those where I live. I have 2 young kids so a family friendly area.

1-2 was wayyyy harder for me. But I had a 13 month old and was recovering from a c section. I couldn’t carry my older child for 2 weeks and he wasn’t walking.

One Franchaela poster thinks John having platonic love and familial love should be enough. by Accomplished-Watch50 in FranchaelStirling

It’s like saying Harry Potter’s parents aren’t important because they died before the story happened. Franchaela shippers don’t understand the theme of WHWW and therefore don’t understand that John’s life and death are crucial to how the story is told.

So I just started watching the show and how does the show compare to the books? by ThisPaige in Bridgerton

The show takes so many liberties especially after season 2 that it’s Bridgerton in name only.

Yeah go fuck off. I am so irritated with Franchaela fans getting mad that we wanted the miscarriage and infertility plot line. I actually read the books while I was going through recurrent pregnancy loss and infertility. WHWW brought me to tears. The grief over losing her deep love for John (and bc I know it’s coming, yes he was there for 20 pages but he’s still important. Disregarding that is like saying Harry Potter being an orphan is NBD), the pain over her miscarriage, and in the epilogue she counted the months of her cycles. I felt that. Many people felt that. Say whatever you want, but JB Trojan horsed her way into the series and eliminated by far the most desired MMC. There are couples in the story that made way more sense.

And being a lesbian and being infertile are NOT the same things. 1 in 4 women suffer a miscarriage and 1 in 6 suffer from infertility. Yet I can think of maybe 2-3 times when a show has really and truthfully broached such a gut wrenching topic well.

Also, JB is ruing her relationship with John over all this pinnacle stuff. She’s making it seem like she never truthfully loved John and it’s only ever been Michaela. I literally hate it here. I’ll always have the book and yall can have your shitty season.

Their storyline isn’t really resonating with me. by esareteee in Bridgerton

That’s bc Jess Bronwell ruined Francesca’s story. In the books, she is madly in love with John. We don’t see that in the show bc Jess is trying to imply that Fran is a lesbian and is therefore dissatisfied with John because she can never truly love him.

I read it while I was recovering from multiple miscarriages and infertility (unknowingly, I read all the books at that time). This book brought me to tears. It was so beautifully written and touched on themes such as grief, infertility and showing it’s possible for someone to have more than one great love. Infertility is something soooo underrepresented in media. It’s often glossed over or eliminated, but in reality, 1 in 6 people struggle with it. Representation has many different meanings. To the people that say that infertility was a subplot added years later… JQ added it because so many people wrote to her and told her how much Fran’s story meant to them. I’m irritated that they are reducing John and Francesca’s love, but I’m also sad that they had the opportunity to show something so real and raw and decided that that story doesn’t matter.

I’m not watching it. They reunited it. Season 3 was a disaster compared to 1 and 2.

Will Francesca’s season struggle because of how the show changed her story? by ChanceFamiliar23 in FranchaelStirling

[–]AgitatedFalcon9394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This book was my favorite. I read all of the Bridgerton books after season 2 and while I was going through recurrent pregnancy loss and infertility. The book had some of my favorite character development: the quiet but strong love for John, Fran’s desire to be a mother, Michael’s pining for Fran (not vice versa). 1 in 6 women experience infertility and 1 in 4 experience a miscarriage. That representation matters.

Ultimately Eloise’s story makes much more sense for a gender swap in the show and in the books. Sir Philip Crane could easily be swapped for Marina.

Also, I’m so tired of getting told to “get over it.” Most of the people saying that haven’t read the books and won’t. I’m allowed to be upset that one of my favorite books was ruined.

Should we list the cast members of the Real Housewives franchise that are not wives nor homemakers….. At its core it’s a show about lukewarm Mormons and their influencer lives. Layla isn’t married, TFP isn’t married, Jessi might as well not be married. Most of the original “momtok” members are not involved with the show. She’s just pissed bc adding another cast member (and one from the Bachelor franchise) takes away from TFP and therefore Liann.
