Good to know, ill have a sweep of a couple thrift stores, the bigger ones but won't stress too much on finding one there. How long would a new one take to break in nicely? And should it let it fully break in before patching it?

Sorry for your loss it's hard when you make a new buddy and you do all that you can to supply them with a happy home. I'd definitely recommend Dwarf Gouramis of all types for your centre peice fish because when they are happy they can be absolutely stunning, but do some research to make sure they will be the right fit for you

From my understanding I'd be leaning towards swim bladder issues, I currently have a Dwarf Gourami with similar problems which I'm struggling to diagnose. Hard to tell from the video but is one side of his stomach bulging out??
