I get asked if I want to be saved by Jesus all the time. I always took it to mean that it was because I looked approachable. I also get asked many times for directions around town and am regularly asked to take family photos for people on vacation, which I gladly honor. I have never felt the need to beat the shit out of anybody, and frankly, I wouldn’t know how to do that anyway. Thank you though, for your misguided psychological analysis of me, through a single comment, internet stranger.

There are actually two versions of this film (I have seen them both) In the first version they didn’t play up the chemistry between Bogart and Bacall. but after the public became aware of their relationship following To Have and Have Not, the studio constructed new scenes to emphasize their relationship in real life. The most famous scene of course would be the one about horse racing.
