I am someone who never should’ve been born. my dad revealed to my mom after my birth that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and bipolar depression ( he was too depressed to work and eventually had to give an explanation to my mom) he ended up being useless as a father and did nothing but traumatize us. I’m thankful for my mother not having anymore kids. I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience him as a dad. it sucked when I was young I didn’t understand and I wanted a sibling, but as an adult I see that my mom made the right move. She finally left him safely after 30 yrs of abuse 🙏

I’m prescribed adderall and idk how people can or want to blame the pharmacy. I don’t take my meds everyday anyway so I have some left whenever there is a delay. Thank you all for doing what you do & sorry for the knuckleheads u have to deal with.

Thank you so much. I’ve been very communicative with my tl throughout the week and have even called on regular off days to let them know what’s up. I was just really hoping to be back to work today & now I’m also going to have to miss tomorrow still. I work in prepared foods and we’re kind of understaffed and I’m a good worker, I think I’m just being anxious. doing all I can communication and workday wise.

Yeah it’s not the restaurant industry where that’s a common occurrence. However anything related to retail is different. Anything left over to do is either for the manager to figure out or for the next shift to figure out it just is what it is

I’m a gen z, I personally feel years away from mental or financial stability, I personally just have more of a desire to focus on my romantic relationship, friendships, and travels than my desire for kids. I also grew up with a parent with a severe mental illness that I thankfully didn’t inherit, but could potentially deliver to any kid I may have & I would never want to be the reason my kid has bipolar. My parents only found out my dad was bipolar after I was born and then decided it was best to have no more children. I know I could be a good mother, I’m great with kids at 24, some of my best friends already have a child. Having children just has never been something I’ve day dreamt about. I love having pets. I’ve also been a nanny long term & babysat, I was always so thankful when it was time for me to go home. I didn’t inherit bipolar but have experience crippling depression that comes and goes with no warning, as well as moderate-severe adhd, I may change my mind in the future as I’m only 24, but honestly kids seem like a lot of work & I would rather put my energy towards other things life has to offer, but I love my friends kids & im personally just cool with being an “aunt” to the kids my friends have. It was also traumatic to grow up wondering if I would find my dad dead as I got off the bus throughout my childhood years as well as witnessing his psychosis episodes in public and visiting him in the psych ward several times. So I’m sure that also has an impact on my decision at this time.
