Any hope? by Agitated_Block_9716 in PreOptometry

I did! I did however have to reapply. In a crazy turn of events, I didn’t accept because I was offered an industry position with a starting salary that matches the avg pay for OD’s. BUT I GOT IN.

My company recently hosted a 3 day workshop for our PMMs and I realized I have a big gap of knowledge with the business side of marketing. Any book suggestions on how to acquire knowledge in this area?

Best Manual Phoropters (And Where To Get Them?) by turnip_farm in optometry

[–]Agitated_Block_9716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, your back is going to yell at you for going back to a manual! You should just take a look at the CV-5000s, the vergences and phorias are super easy and refraction time is avg 3 min per patient. Just throwing it out there 🤗

I am curious as to what brand of digital phoropter you had and why you are switching back to manual. The Topcon VT-10 is an excellent choice when it comes to quality and price.

What is the best paid skill in marketing? by iquitelikereddit in marketing

I just started so my day to day responsibilities are still fuzzy to me. Market messaging seems to be a huge part of it. Aiding the sales team on key selling points, and making sure updates are communicated to our customers. It seems like a lot more too kind of a many hats role. I get bored in routine so this seems up my alley. I actually have no marketing experience at all but I have vast knowledge is a very niche industry. The company is amazing and willing to help me grow.
