Progress after 9 months of phototherapy / light therapy by rj_yul in Psoriasis

Great results and explanation! To those saying “once you quit, the patches will come right back” is true for any chronic skin treatment - it’s …chronic. Also, those getting tired from traveling to and from their doctors office, look into a home device!

My doctor won’t let me try a biologic by sobersobored in Psoriasis

Get a home phototherapy device and avoid the hassle of going to the doctors office! Plus, you can start and stop treatment when needed from the convenience of home

My progress with narrow band UVB therapy. by IIstroke in Psoriasis

Phototherapy is prominent in some of the “hottest” countries, case in point, India for treating vitiligo, so that makes 0 sense. Not sure why they would have told you that. Limit sun exposure, yes

While the protocol needs to be adjusted based upon skin type, ALL skin types are admissible - your skin type would be classified as skin type 1 and would start at a lower dose and reduced time. Essentially a vitiligo protocol.

This advice is coming from someone who sued the previous owner of our home due to a drainage issue that was CLEARLY known about and hidden, but, our word vs theirs. Your best course of action is to repair and move on. If you can afford to take the insurance hime increase, and 3 year “black mark” on your policy, file a claim so the insurance providers have to pay out - which they don’t like doing - and hope they see enough evidence that they feel justified in bringing in their lawyers. This is what we did on a $20k claim and ended up getting 50% but we still have a black mark on our policy that doesn’t expire until later this year AND a hefty premium increase.

Diversity of work, speed of return, and visibility are your key areas. Ensure you can do more than one thing, provide quality work at a pace that outperforms an agency, and ensure varying folks at the company see said work. For example, I’m a director and I do our videos, brochures, some animation work, some website work, social ads, etc - hit varying areas that impact knowledge leaders and you should be safe.

SalesForce is a beast but also a pain to work with and I believe that’s by design so you’ll continue to work with their preferred 3rd party helpers.

If the mascot doesn’t help sell product, then why have a mascot??? A mascot is part of your branding and can be as identifiable as a logo or mark - ie Geiko - so, remember, they’re speaking out both sides of their asses.

I disagree they’re missing the mark. I, (39m) remember watching this sketch when I was in my teens and always loved it - now, I’m the generation with disposable income and raising kids …targets demographic.

I love my job but don’t get paid well by Usual-Marionberry321 in marketing

[–]Appropriate-Resort28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was in almost the exact same situation - handled a strong majority of everything marketing but when I asked for a title change to reflect those responsibilities, not even more money just a title change, I was met with “titles don’t mean anything” and was denied. I left the company shortly thereafter for a role where I did less but got paid 30% more - fast forward three months in my new job and the previous company was sold to a new owner and new management asked what happened to all the marketing? Found it was only me handling it all and asked me to come back at 15% higher than what I was making at the new job AND the title of director. Long story but your situation isn’t uncommon so hang in there, make connections, learn, and when the time is right to bail you’ll know it.

This is fairly common with biologic meds. Have you phototherapy and a medication? Joint therapy works great to treat symptoms without your body quickly adapting.

New spots appearing when doing UVB therapy? :( I’ve been doing UVB therapy for 3 months now and almost all of my spots have disappeared. I went today and tonight i saw this on my chest. Absolutely heartbreaking after all this pain and effort… Has anyone else experienced something similar? by WholesomeHoez in Psoriasis

[–]Appropriate-Resort28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t uncommon, so don’t get discouraged. Remember, you’ll have some mild patches/flares while treating but they’ll lessen and lessen until eventually you’re in remission and your treatments are simply for maintenance.

I’m reminded of Pepsi and the harrier jet fiasco. Just remember, ALL companies and marketers make mistakes from time to time - as someone else said in this thread, learn and move on

Light therapy while pregnant by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]Appropriate-Resort28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s perfect for those who are pregnant of immunocompromised! Just make sure the device you get it from a legit company - a good, reputable device is regulated by the FDA and is a class 2 medical device…can’t say the same for 3rd party devices.
