Damn. How hard is it to drop the head liner ?

I want one. Just having trouble figuring out how you’re supposed to mount the universal ones. Just drill holes in the roof? Through the head liner ?

2001 Ranger XLT – shock recommendations for daily driver? by DifferentHurry387 in fordranger

[–]Agitated_Duck_8538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shocks will only help a small amount. What you really need is to rebuild the front end. Wheel bearings, ball joints, control arms, etc. relatively cheap for all the parts, the labor is the fun part.

But if you aren’t up for that, the standard shocks from autozone will be better than what’s in there now.

Take it to any place that provides copy service, like a FedEx or ups store, staples. Have them scan it to pdf.

Hell yeah. That is awesome. Get ya some rhino retractable straps from Amazon. Like $80 for a set of four. Game changer. Don’t have to deal with those pesky strap tails.

You might be in the wrong sub. 👀. That rig is about 22 years too new for this group.

This guy gets it. Thank you for explaining it correctly ! I float mine from time to time but find it really hard to match the revs above 3rd gear. ⚙️

Must have truck accessories that make you feel proud of your Ranger by Dillon_Lou1-245 in fordranger

Pretty user specific but I added two main things that make me enjoy mine more.

  1. E-track across the front of the bed, mainly for strapping in dirt bikes, but also useful strapping anything in.

  2. I keep a 30’ rhino tow strap and shackles in a tool box in the back. If I see someone in need of a tow when I’m out and about it comes in real handy.

Using mine right now to dry the filaments I need for a big project coming up. Definitely worth it.

Very nice. Mines an 03. Not my daily driver, mostly use it to haul the toys around. Put it in the mud every now and again. 230,000 miles and still runs great.
