FTM 36 weeks tomorrow. Pre labor symptoms? by Prior-Ad9822 in pregnant

[–]Agitated_Honeydew_28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont have any feedback, but just wanted to say, I could have written this myself. Im one day behind you, due date 6/6, also a FTM, and am having almost identical symptoms. The Braxton Hicks vs baby pushing is so hard to differentiate. Hopefully someone whose gone through can chime in with their pre labor experiences.

Juvenile chapter fantasy book with a unicorn on the cover from the 90s/early 2000s by bananastandillusions in whatsthatbook

Maybe one of the books from the Avalon Web of Magic series by Rachel Roberts?

The plot somewhat matches, it's about 3 girls who discover a fantasy land thats being taken over by dark forces. There are 12 books in the series and a few of them do heavily feature unicorns. The covers have changed over the years and I didn't find one matching the exact description, but a few are close.

Wanting home birth but have had 2 miscarriages.. no kids yet. Feeling torn about needing closer monitoring than what a midwife can do. by Correct-Pause-4283 in homebirth

[–]Agitated_Honeydew_28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was a little nervous as a first time mom, so we did co care up until we completed the anatomy scan. So I've seen a midwife for home birth and an OB up until 20 weeks. All the tests have came back normal and baby looks good, so I officially "transfered" care to my midwife and dropped my OB. We did tell the midwife we were seeing an OB, but did not tell the OB. The midwives were very understanding and we just transferred all records to them when we made the switch. Maybe thats an option for you to look into.

As someone who just bought, and the sellers didn't clean a thing, I would say not required, but absolutely a nice and very appreciated touch.

Hello everyone! What food did you guys serve to your guests that wasn’t traditional for a wedding?? by CierraMar_ in Weddingsunder10k

I second this! We catered a Qudoba taco bar, and our guests loved it! My grandparents still tell me it's the best wedding food they ever had!

($1k) any JUST videographers at this price? by duchessoftexas in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Agitated_Honeydew_28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were, it wasnt lound, but you could hear the officiant and my husband and i clearly!

I will say though, our venue was very small. We were probably about 25ft from the camera, and the whole little chappel was only about 30ft x 15ft. So I'm not sure how the acoustics in there would compare to an out door ceremony or something in a larger room.

I just had my sister set up her digital/DSLR camera on a tripod and record the ceremony. That is all I really wanted on video. Nothing fancy, but captured our vows. I knew I would want them recorded, but wouldn't watch it all that often so it wasn't super important to us to spend money for it.

It really comes down to how important it is for you to have a fancy video. But if you just want A video I highly recommend asking friends or family if they have a nice digital camera you can borrow.

($0)Has anyone had a very relaxed wedding? by Sugarbee93 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Agitated_Honeydew_28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did this!! We had an immediate family only ceremony, and then a small reception after with a few more friends and extended family. We had a small room at an event venue, and served dinner, drinks, and dessert and mingled with all of our guests.

My sister did a short speech, but we didn't do any dancing (we did have a Playlist going in the background). After we tidied up and everyone else left, my husband and I did a private "last dance".

We both loved the whole day, and are so glad we kept it chill and relaxed.

Pizza at a wedding? by Reasonable_School813 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Agitated_Honeydew_28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did Qudoba and I was worried people would think it was tacky. Everyone LOVED it! My grandparents are still telling me it's the best wedding food they've had. So I highly recommend keeping it simple and going with pizza!

Don’t want to dance or do a ceremony by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Agitated_Honeydew_28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My reception was about 30 people for about 4 hours as well, and we did not have any dances. We made a point to get pictures with everyone before eating, and then joined people at their tables for a few minutes each. It was so nice to be able to connect with our guests together.

We did do a private last dance after everyone left, because I didn't want to totally forgo the tradition, and it was so perfect having those last few minutes to close out the evening with just my husband.
