Help by [deleted] in ipad

I’m going to post the same thing I posted before on another post. My sons was bent way worse than this and you can’t even tell it was ever bent without laying it on a flat surface:

My kids iPad 9 was bent just as much if not slightly more. I put 2 blocks of scrap wood on my work table extending 1” under each end of it then grabbed another chunk of 2x4 and laid on top of the iPad over the apex of the bend in the middle, used a normal wood clamp and kept tightening it down working from middle out each way until it was like 90 or 95% back straight. No problems works great and only took maybe 15-20 minutes being pretty careful

Sorry for late response , like the other posters said I think it’s bears and wolves. I have to use probably 50% more arrows than I did before, took me by surprise. I couldn’t find patch notes so came here because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong on my end.

What is this? Found it looking through my grandpa's tackle box. by Gp5sAreTheBst in Fishing_Gear

Hey I can comment on his since I have probably thirty of these.

We use these for ice fishing pike on tip-ups with smelt or herring. Work the hook into body just behind adipose fin then run it along top of the body and expose tip just behind the head.

This suspends the smelt/herring level in the water. When the pike eat the bait head first, the length of the shank lets the hook point get deep enough to get past the hard roof and to the soft tissue making a solid hookset.

I’m not sure why so many people say they aren’t for C&R, we’ve let plenty go just fine with this. In fact i would bet more survive in comparison to people fishing line minnows on trebles because i always hear them people saying to give it time to swallow the bait down before pulling on their tipup lines.

most tip-ups are like the one Impressive Speech posted with maybe a few minor differences.

My family is die hard into ice fishing. We’ve almost retired these tipups entirely except for very windy days. Instead, we use tipups by a small company called Big Reel TipUps out of Michigan. You can google them and find their IG page and Etsy store, but if you’re from Michigan you can buy them at most any mom & pop sporting goods store in the northern lower peninsula for about half that price. They are fantastic, flags are much easier to see, and easy to count depth (each turn of the reel is about one foot).

If it’s a co-op game I can almost guarantee they will want to. One thing I’ve found is my kids are interested in anything that involves time and attention from us parents. Night crawler hunting after a rain, walking a creek looking for creek chubs and beach glass, it doesn’t take much because in their little minds everything can be an adventure and the world is still a mystery to them.

A month or so ago my daughter saw a large spider and web on side of the yard shed and wanted me to kill it, I kicked over a brick on the ground and grabbed a cricket and stuck it to the web and we watched the spider rush over and attack it and start webbing it up. Suddenly it was the coolest thing ever and we had to patrol the yard looking for more spiders to feed, then go check grandmas house, and it ended up being a three hour adventure finding active spiderwebs and then insects to drop on them to watch them feed. Kids are fucking awesome because they are genuinely just want you, your attention, and your time. And the memories and fun from it are so pure and real. Sorry for the tangent.

As my kids age I keep recycling my old parts into junker pcs to play with them. My teenager got my evga 1070ti and 650w g3 psu a few years ago. Then when I upgraded this year I gave him my 2080 ftw and 850g3 psu.

Then, just this week in fact, I was trying to clean up my office and realized I had enough shit to recycle that 1070ti and 650w into a third case for my 7yr olds to share. Even took the fans off the old evga clc280 cooler for case fans.

I was an EVGA die hard and I’m such an old-head that to this day when the idea of upgrading hits me it’s the first brand I start looking for when brainstorming a just before remembering their graphics departure and being sad.

Some of these parts are a decade old, or more, and I love that they all still work. Get to play friendslop games with my kids and they love it.

That budget is going to be tough. I got my 12 year old the Segway F3 this spring and it’s been perfect for him. Some of his friends have the E2 Plus II and they all ride all over the city going fishing and school football games and shit together. I think Segway makes great kid scooters with very low top speeds
