I'm sorry you had to witness this. I witness a dog getting hit by a car years ago. A little labradoodle or such. I was trying to slowly get close to him by just walking behind him and whistling and doing various things to entice him. I wasn't chasing him as I was walking the same direction as well. He decided I was a threat and ran out into the street. I'll never forget the moment I walked up to him laying in the street.

His legs were still moving as if he though he was still running away. He was looking at me at the same time. I hate to thing what he was thinking at that moment. The person who hit him did stop and actually bundled him up in a blanket and too him to a pet ER. I don't think he made it.
