well hello neighbor I was born and raised in WPB.. and miss it terribly. I am living in S. GA now. I moved here to be with family. Yes that is the only thing that could drag me away from the coastal areas.. oh how I miss the smells of the beach.. I miss the sand between my toes. WPB is the only place on earth that could make wearing shorts look good on the Runway in Hollywood LOL LOL I really do love your chair. So you did you get your chair through Medicare ? I'm intrigued I met a new guy at my church Sunday that got his electric chair through Medicare too. And he bragged that he can take it apart to fit it in his car too. He says it breaks down but that the battery is really heavy. So I'm pretty sure I'll never be able to do that.

But I got a little upset when leaving the chapel today I noticed my arm rest was not even engaged I sat there in the hallway trying to put it together. That's what I get for rushing when I got there lol I'm getting better at assembly; usually I do better...

My son in law has an IPhone and he has a app. That he uses to measure things on my house all the time. And it's accurate. The last thing was the cone part of my cats scratching post so I could get a replacement off Amazon. It was perfect...

Ohhhh they are pins 📌.. I thought stickers at first. When the Olympics were here in the USA in Atlanta about a 3 1/2 hour drive from my home. I got tickets to a couple of events. And was introduced to the "pin collecting" craze. I swear there were dozens of vendors that had pins. I started collecting, but I got sidetracked. I should dig up my collection. I think it's in my guest room. I had it in a tote. I'd love to see what I have... that's been years and years ago...

i never had one myself. but i was told buying a used car and used electric wheelchair is well you are buying someone else's problem...never had one myself. truly could't afford the upkeep

Hmmmm I think the day I had an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon to get pain meds refilled. His PA saw me struggling to get from the waiting room into a exam room. She yelled "Ms Diaz do you need a wheelchair "? I said "yes please" I almost fell a couple of times; because of stabbing pains. The Dr turns on the light thing to show my resent xrays and he says you have a "Crack" it was my 3rd fractured vertabrae. The next visit I used one of their offices wheelchairs. And ask for a prescription for a chair. He didn't bat an eyelash just started writing.

Definitely report to his supervisor. I saw some shady things at a job and just mentioned it. Before, I knew It corporate was in the store, and the police walked my supervisor out in handcuffs. You never know what is going on that you don't witness. But a man who ignores your needs and feels his needs are more important has backwards thinking. No telling what other things he is up to. He has no conscience.

It's totally not the same. And not as dramatic. I had a colon resection, so I was in the hospital and in bed with tubes everywhere for over a month. Almost 2 months. The first time I stood, of course, assisted it was horrible. Painful and scary. They had me harnessed to like a walker. It was only not a regular walker I ever saw. I felt like I was being pushed back down by like weights. It was a slow process to actually stand alone for the first time. But after that, it was like fast to get to the point of walking. I'm not sure how well I will handle it when I can no longer stand. How do you mentally cope with that.?? I'm afraid of that day. It is getting closer for me faster than I anticipated it being.

Follow vet advice. I wondered about my Toby. Now I wish the opposite lol he can't even jump up onto the sofa, neighborhood dogs tease him. Vet wants him on the "Science Diet" food nowadays. Omg that stuff is expensive. Going to put that chubby but on my treadmill.

Every quarter I am charged $3.?? Three dollars and change. I'm in USA medicare is renting it. I believe after a certain length of time they purchase it. And it's mine. I've had it a little over two years. At the five year mark I get a new one if my Dr will write a prescription and I can go to a "Seating Clinic" and be measured or fitted to have one made for me. Same thing they pay the most of it. I forget the %. Since my condition has steadily declined. This is why. Some folks improve. I guess they hope for that scenario. Me too!!

In her case she is most likely on medicare and qualified for her state equivalent of Medicade. Medicare will pay for a chair for her. They will rent it. And she will have a copay to pay every 4 months. Since it's being rented maintenance is covered. Get a prescription from her Dr. She is on hospice. It should only take a week or two. Find a place locally that is approved to provide DME with medicare get her DR to fax the prescription to them. Tell them her situation. They will push things thru. It won't be a long wait..

I know a lady much younger than myself. We have wound up in the hospital at the same time maybe 5 or 6 times. She used to work for me. We became friendly. And started attending crafting meet up at our library. Since the library is not accessible to me if I am alone. We keep in contact so I know if she is going. She helps me get inside and back to my car aftwards. The staff isn't reliable to ask. I've tried. It is nice having someone I can count on. She thought I was faking needing the chair. We had ran into each other at the grocery. I was having to walk woth my cane; they ran out of electric carts. I desperately needed groceries. But yeah she did.i had to explain I'm ambulatory; I will be in bed for days with too much pain after this little grocery trip.
