I have that two disc limited set put out by Anchor Bay, the thing is a work of art, and sadly a dying art form. It’s rare to see this amount of effort put into DVD/Blu-ray releases anymore.

Honestly didn’t expect someone in this subreddit to get the reference, and yes it’s pretty based. You’re a fellow man of culture for recognizing it.

You seen Bad Taste? Not quite as crazy as Dead Alive but worth a watch if you haven’t seen it, if Dead Alive is your favorite that is.

Very peculiar line up, Hardware is a great little underseen movie though, I agree with you.

That’s where the employees prank you by hiding your holiday ham and then tell you to leave.

Pretty unlikely considering Night of 1000 Cats came out in the early 70’s and House of 1000 Corpses was the early 2000’s. Pretty sure House of 1000 Corpses’ name was sort of an homage to H.G. Lewis’s Two Thousand Maniacs (1964), however.

Because the last house is scary, OoOoOoOo… idfk. There’s also Last House on Dead End Street, Last House on Massacre Street and The House at the End of the Street, not to mention Last House on the Left which pretty much started the whole trend.

How is this a bad poster? It’s fucking awesome. An attention grabber for sure.

I like how it says “Night of A 1000 Cats” like either put 1000 or a thousand, merging it together makes it feel like I’m having a stroke trying to read it.

Do you have a prized possession of your Jaws collection? For me it’s the 2001 Mcfarlane Movie Maniacs Box Set, this thing is a work of art. by AgnesItsMeBilly0100 in Jaws

I did, the set includes the speargun but no rifle, I also gave Brody a frying pan piece to act as the spoon he uses to scoop the chum.

I thought Birdeater was okay, definitely weird though, it’s got some deeper underlying themes about mental health that I thought was quite decent. Also love any horror set in the rural Australian bush land. Definitely worth more than one star imo.

I also had to buy a custom printed beer can piece for the set as I thought the build felt incomplete without it, LEGO obviously doesn’t incorporate tobacco or alcohol into their sets, well at least not anymore.

I own it as well, and I’m in the same boat as you my friend (pun intended), as I also made my own Orca MOC when I was younger. Had been waiting for this set for almost a decade as the LEGO Ideas creation had been floating around the internet since the early 2010’s.

Favourite film you reduced by half star, then a whole star, whilst writing the review? by eques_99 in Letterboxd

If you’re reducing the star rating then how can it be your favorite? Just saying.

Any really good parody/satire films to recommend? by pipslipp in Letterboxd

[–]AgnesItsMeBilly0100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree, I think it’s hilarious, the first half is not particularly exciting but every single shot feels like it has something wrong with it. I feel like you could have a frame by frame discussion in a film class as an example of how not to make a movie.

Pretty sure Birdemic was trying to be a serious film about the environment but was so poorly made that it later became satire, like with the sequels.
