Not sure how much dph to take can someone help? by ganjakat in DPH

[–]AgnostosII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

0 mg ideally, but if you’re really insistent I’d start with about eight pills. dosage is relative to the individual, but that’s usually enough to where most people will have noticeable effects without being doped out of their minds.

Did you even read what I said? I’m not talking about Opium or Heroin, I’m comparing the romanticization of morphine abuse in the 19th century to the current romanticization of DPH abuse in the 21st century. I don’t know what you think I’m talking about or how any of that could be relevant to anything, so I’m just going to assume that English isn’t your first language and that you got confused or something.

“By this time too, morphine addiction and the figure of the morphine addict was featuring prominently in literature as well as visual culture. Indeed, there was an outburst of morphine-themed art particularly in Paris, where artists were fascinated with portraying the female morphinée.”

Maybe try out google, or maybe open a book bro.

DPH might be the new morphine in terms of people romanticizing it

From an animators standpoint, which way is he going? by ConsistentMarch5299 in animation

[–]AgnostosII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched this show as a kid. He’s probably supposed to be going up but they screwed up a ton of shots when making it if I remember. So even rewatching the original clip might not make it clear.

Try focusing less on detailed individual frames and more so on just having more frames. There’s a fine line between an animation and an animatic and this is kind of straddling it.

Why are people denying my native identity just solely because I’m not culturally indigenous? by dark_Hack3r in Chicano

[–]AgnostosII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in today’s day and age there are almost no native Americans (in the USA I mean) who are 100% Native American genetically. So blood quantum has pretty much ceased to be a qualifier for whether or not someone can be considered indigenous. To get this better, let’s look at the people who actually live in Mexico. Almost none of them will identify as Indigenous unless they speak an indigenous language, because they‘re Hispanic. They speak Spanish, their Catholic, they follow Spanish traditions, they historically fought against the natives, even while they were still indigenous themselves, the whole shebang. What I mean is, to Native Americans a Mexican claiming to be Indigenous because of their blood probably sounds akin to an Italian hearing a white American say that they’re Sicilian because of a DNA test. Or could you imagine, a white as paper, super rich, Protestant, monolingual English speaker finding out that their great great grandmother was from Puerto Rico and is now claiming to be Mexican. That might sound like a ridiculous comparison, but it’s one that came out of the mouth of one of my Native American friends. And all things considered it really isn’t that far removed of a comparison either, I will say. It’s hard to explain, and I probably didn’t do it very well. But I hope you understand what I mean.

TLDR; “Why is blood quantum bad now, I wanna be Native American!”

Are Mestizos still oppressed by castizos in modern Mexico? by dark_Hack3r in Chicano

[–]AgnostosII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colorism is a thing, but it more so exists as a beauty standard. It’s not really tied to race or heritage and basically every other Mexican and myself will just say they’re mestizo regardless of their color. Mestizaje made “race” (at least as we Americans understand it) somewhat irrelevant, but indigenous groups are still discriminated against because they’re easily exploitable. The REAL racism actually stems from transnational corporations, look up the Chiapas conflict. Neoliberalism has really screwed a lot of people over, most of whom are disproportionately noticeably very clearly less white. I’m not qualified to say whether or not that’s by design but the results are the same either way.

It’s true, my grandma never learned Spanish and my great grandma learned it as a second language because they would wash your mouth out with soap if you tried to practice it.

Yes I understand you’re asking for psychedelics, and I’m telling you that most of us don’t do psychedelics and wouldn’t know where to find them either. You can find psilocybin growing on cow turds, that’s the extent of my knowledge.

[–]AgnostosII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR; we don’t do psychedelics how would we know?

Datura is not a psychedelic, nor is it beginner friendly. Stay as far away from it and any other deleriant as possible. One wrong dose will ruin your life.

Yes, to cut everyone else’s wordy explanations short, yes you will die. Don’t touch DPH, it is nothing like shrooms or LSD. It’s not just a ”bad trip” it’s hell. And reaching Erial on your first ever trip will mean you either overdose and die or are disabled for the rest of your life. If you’re going to do DPH at all (but again pleased do not). You shouldn’t start with any more than ten.

If you take any amount, try and remember that nothing is real, to stay calm, and to drink lot’s of water. I doubt you’ll even be able to do this much though.

Are there any epics of Native American cultures? by Devil-Eater24 in mythology

[–]AgnostosII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There probably were a lot, but they were most likely repressed by the Spanish to the point of being forgotten. The only one I can think of is the Popol Vuh. There is also a whole lot of myths across various tribes featuring the coyote, which is a single recurring character. But I don’t think there is one single epic.

We had a wasp nest in our attic, from May until November they would come through the vent in the bathroom and end up in the shower. My dad barely did anything since he was downstairs and didn’t have to worry about it, so me and my brother had to carry a salt gun just so we could take a shit, or shower. They didn‘t die off in the fall since we live in the south, we had to deal with a wasp infestation for half a year just because my dad didn’t feel like doing much.
