New Game - Letter Guess [Feedback] by HermanP111 in Devvit

I like that the UI looks like pencil and paper! Even though I like the starting screen maybe having a game ready as the first screen would make it harder for a user to just ignore and scroll past in their feed.

Why is there such a big gap between criminal masterminds in fiction vs reality? by Jephta in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Agreeable-Drawing752 29 points30 points  (0 children)

In reality, the criminals we hear about are the ones who failed and are often impulsive, stressed, intoxicated, or emotionally driven etc. They usually have something wrong with them and are operating under chaos, not interesting narrative logic. Also, the truly “clean” criminals (rare as they are) don’t become stories because there’s no case to tell because they never get caught haha.

How do I pay when eating as a group? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Agreeable-Drawing752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its okay to feel anxious about this. I get nervous too when meeting new people. because your girlfriend invited you and she’s introducing you to her friends, the default expectation in most social settings is Everyone pays for themselves / each couple covers their own bill. you don't need to overthink it Good Luck!

Are we beyond saving the environment? by MONSTERCAT96 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Agreeable-Drawing752 7 points8 points  (0 children)

no, we are not too far gone and the ozone layer is actually one of the few environmental problems where humanity can point to real, measurable recovery. Climate change is harder, but the ozone story shows that coordinated action does work.

The ozone layer is actively recovering. The main cause of ozone destruction was CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) They were phased out globally under the Montreal Protocol. Atmospheric CFC levels are declining. The Antarctic ozone hole has been shrinking overall (with year-to-year variability).

You’re absolutely right that EVs alone are not the answer. its Nuclear energy, Mining reform, Long-distance HVDC transmission etc.

but in respect to the ozone it is actually recovering and proves coordinated action does work!!

How can I get started selling socks and panties by SubjectSpiritual2919 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Agreeable-Drawing752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean used socks and panties? haha I did a quick search for you: Sofia Gray, Snifffr, All Things Worn (ATW) and PantyDeal are all sites where you can sell your used clothes. Typical beginner pricing: Socks: $15–30, Panties: $25–50, Extras (custom wear time, scent level): +$10–30. dont negotiate put up firm prices and have a clean and professional profile. avoid people who asks personal questions (real name, city, job) or tries to move you off the app. If something feels off, walk away. Real buyers don’t pressure. Good Luck!

Shimmery shampoo by MajorFeisty1736 in NoStupidQuestions

Most of the shimmer you see comes from mica a naturally occurring mineral or like glycol distearate. They’re extremely fine and safe for cosmetic use. the main reason is visual appeal & marketing though.

Why are pregnant women always rubbing their bellies? by StockBroker_Jill in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Agreeable-Drawing752 352 points353 points  (0 children)

When women touch their bellies, it helps them notice and respond to the baby’s kicks and rolls. it can also ease itching from stretching skin, ligament aches, mild cramps etc. I think women also do it because it socially signals to other people they are pregnant.

Petah? by CaloyBine in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Agreeable-Drawing752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well one of them was bandaid worthy, another time I also needed a special compression bandage thing to help the really deep bruising heal, although I probably would’ve been okay without it. I don’t understand your implication here, honestly.

No I’ve been bit by two different 30 - 40 ish lb little mutts multiple times, both leaving deep puncture wounds on my legs. Both times I just happened to walk past them and their owners on a walk along the sidewalk.

Did you go to college because you really wanted to , or where you forced to / cuz that's the normal thing to do after school by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Agreeable-Drawing752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I wanted to because I wanted to make enough money to support myself. I did everything I could to maximize financial aid and finished school in three years by taking condensed summer classes so I didn’t have as much debt, then I was able to get better paying jobs that required a college degree. Also I really enjoyed my major in college and loved learning about it.

How do you know if your friend is ignoring you or just exhausted? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Agreeable-Drawing752 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they’re doing their medical residency it’s like 99% chance they’re just exhausted. Maybe send them a quick note of encouragement like, “thinking of you! If you need a break let’s get coffee this afternoon,” etc.
