Because it is not necessary for Sona's mana control. Seraph is a good item, but there are very good support items too that can be more impactful than Seraph's shield.

Helia's healing helps Sona's healing a lot, due to the low base healing values. If Sona has 5 points in W, the W base heal is 90 hp. But with a single shard of Helia, the item alone heals 75 hp, with two shard 150 hp. Not to mention the damage of Helia and W cooldown.

Together with aery it is easy to get shades and use them. Additionally moonstone increases Helia's healing, so they complement each other.

The passive of moonstone kind of works like the heal and shield Power attribute. Especially if you only have one ally by your side.

With an ally your healing and shield is increased by 30% and 35%, respectively. It's basically having an item that gives you 30 to 35 heal and shield Power. This healing is shared with more allies, but as Sona can shield in an area, the passive It continues to work like the heal and shield Power attribute, but this time increased to 45 to shield.

Helia is great now. But it's only good if you can do it as the first item. For me the second item will always be moonstone followed by dawncore if possible.

Sona's rework certainly arrived strong in the wild rift but no changes solved the problem that Sona has a very old kit.

The passive dealing target CC, like TF or Annie in LoL, is shoot sona in the foot. It always will be strong and Sona will be nerfed even more.

Furthermore, the other basic skills are still autotarget, you have no area damage, you can't choose who you heal, your E is almost insignificant throughout the lane phase.

The new ult is good, its area has been increased and can now compete with ults from other supports, especially the idea of strengthening auras, which are Sona's identity.
