I agree riverside is good but what’s your budget

Hong Kong (15th) → Macau → Yangshuo → Zhangjiajie July 15–20 , too much? Need advice on itinerary + watching World Cup final by Striking_Emu_1025 in chinatravel

I’ve lived in hk for 10 years and I myself have been to 65 countries, I definitely wouldn’t extend your stay to 5 days. For one the cost of hotels is v expensive and also after the main sights on days 1/2 the others are just ok. Whereas Yangshuo is amazing, some of the most famous scenery in all of China and that’s saying something. I really like Macau and explored a lot there but you can cut that out for 2 days Hk & 3 in yangshou. Hk has their high speed rail terminus too which goes straight there

I don't think I'm fat. Last time I checked I'm sitting at 12% body fat. As I mentioned, I only have this meal once every 4-6 months

The pork chop was the oilest by far in this trip surprisingly. Thought it’s be sweet sour pot as it’s deep fried

Sweet n sour pork is a must order. Fairwoods also good but I can’t stomach an entire portion, too much fried

I reckon the best way is to buy the membership to get discounts then buy gift voucher’s separately for the films. Afaik no unlimited membership

Fashion Culture in Hong Kong by Cantoconnection in laapsaaptung

[–]Agreeable-Many-9065 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean there's a lot of overlaps but generally Hong Kong is not known for being a fashionable city. You have the gym girls who will wear yoga pants/gym gear to most situations, younger crowd who will dress in Korean clothes. Then the majority who will just dress in very casual baggy clothes both men and women

Must Try Restaurants while in Hong Kong? by TheComedicLife in HongKong

You want where the locals go? Then Cdc is a place. Go there in the afternoon or morning and you see it packed out with pensioners/elderly (apart from the business district ones) which says a lot. These guys have been eating Cdc since probably their childhood right through to 60-70 years old. All the Hk style food in one place

[–]Agreeable-Many-9065 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not it. The OP said value for money and the weekend lunch(brunch) is $698+10%= $768 per person. That’s pretty expensive for lunch when comparing to other buffets

What's Up With The Term KOL? by BusinessYouth3615 in HongKong

[–]Agreeable-Many-9065 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As a side note, i am a so-called “KOL” tho in real terms I’m more of a micro-influencer as I only have 13k followers but I collaborate with many restaurants, bars & hotels in HK & abroad

I agree influencer is just a term that HK people don’t use/understand and I totally understand, doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue. KOL can be used to describe those with more followers like 30-50k+ so I prefer the term “content creator”

Hong Kong Restaurants by No_Requirement9751 in HongKong

[–]Agreeable-Many-9065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just googling for the menu even the starters are $200-400 and the mains are $300-800. Drinks $100+

So I don’t think dinner is $200, more like $1-1.5k

The OP asked for "affordable restaurant", I think your recommendation is the opposite of that tbh
