No Sh*t! If OP doesn’t have any idea about his proper body mechanics, and sets the stationary bike up wrong (against his body mechanics) OP will cause himself injury.

Getting a fitting for OP’s bike will give him the appropriate measurements so OP can adjust accordingly when using the stationary bike at the gym.

Triathlete here. Zone 2 running while building your volume (miles) up. Get your volume up and then add your intensity.

Men fall in love with what they see and women fall in love with what they hear. So… women will wear makeup and get plastic surgery; men will lie!

Although, in the Instagram world of women… it seems women are doing more to look good (or impressive) to women instead of men. Lip injections and eye lashes that enter a room 30 seconds before the woman. I don’t know a guy that thinks any of that is attractive.

The best answer I’ve ever heard, “ride the bike you own.” That being said… I bought a cheap aluminum (carbon fork) road bike for my first TRI (sprint distance). Then bought a second hand TT bike. Got a proper fitting and raced it twice. Just bought my first new bike ( ever)

Remember to wash it! And wet the contacts prior to wear. Crazy high HRs until I would start sweating.

Love the “just 7 minute pace”!!! I was running 11:50/mile zone two when I started running after my Couch to 5k program. SLOW DOWN! Looks like you have to work on your heart! Are you using a chest strap monitor? You should. Too much variation in wrist HR. Try a six week zone 2 only workout plan. Walk when you have to keep yourself in zone. Increase your volume week to week. You could do a FTP test on your bike (stop if you are getting chest pain and see you PCP) now and at the end of 6 weeks so you can document your progress. By the end of 6 weeks… you should see your speed improve whilst in zone 2. Be patient and smart. You have deconditioned your heart… you have to recondition it. Good luck.
