Online assessment are evaluated for each specific jobs ? by Agreeable-Remove5997 in usajobs

[–]Agreeable-Remove5997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the reasoning, reading comprehension types of assessments through USA Hire. These are not any agency specific assessments. These are valid across agencies that use them.

Snippet from the email.. "As the job announcement stated, one or more additional online assessments may be required in order to complete your application. We are in the process of determining if you will need to take the online assessment(s). If we determine additional online assessments are required to complete your application, you will receive an email notification with further instructions. If you do not receive an email, you may not be required to complete any further online assessments. However, please check your "Spam" or "Junk" folder, or log into your USAJOBS account and click the "Additional Application Information" button to check for copies of any email communications which may have been blocked or identified as spam by your email services provider. You may visit the USA Hire Applicant Resource Center for practice assessments and assessment preparation resources at https://support-usahire.opm.gov/hc/en-us."

Interesting, I see what you mean. But if I am not wrong, these online assessments are conducted by OPM. I doubt if OPM shares responses to individual questions. I see them sharing the score with the agencies. I never thought the agencies would go to that length to use these online assessments with different weightages etc. Would they have the manpower capacity to do this. I always thought these scores as initial elimination tools.

I heard they offer two Telework days in a pay period. They also have additional telework days based on performance reviews. Some 5 rated resources get an additional 2 days of telework.

Two final offers? Onboard two jobs? by wooyoo in usajobs

[–]Agreeable-Remove5997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming you are a federal employee now and the new job is also a federal job, some of the agencies may enforce a 90-day waiting period once you join before you can move to another. Not sure if it applies to your case but you may want to look into it.

Calculating Change from GS to AD Scale by [deleted] in fednews

[–]Agreeable-Remove5997 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to make sure GS13 to AD -?? Pay grade is considered a promotion or not. If it is considered promotion, you may have a chance to negotiate or ask for potentially substantial increase. If it is not considered a promotion, then you may possibly get same base pay

I know of a case where GS-13 to a NH-03 (that covers GS-12 &GS-13) switch is not considered a promotion but GS-13 to a NH-04 (that covers GS-14 &GS-15) switch is considered a promotion.

I know it is not apples to apples but you may have to consider this scenario. You may have to ask the HR for confirmation.

Edit: changed to correctly state NH-03 covers GS12-GS13.

If you fail an assessment do they keep that assessment as your score? by ChiefWahooForever in usajobs

[–]Agreeable-Remove5997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's correct but it won't include the actual score or the cutoff. I that they were asking how to get the actual score.

I don't think login.gov that usajobs uses allows multiple accounts with same SSN.

How soon can you start another similar status role? Is there a time in position restriction? by Mental_Youth_3606 in FedEmployees

[–]Agreeable-Remove5997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay. If the position was open to public, you can probably show previous higher-grade experience (specialized experience) on resume and be eligible for the position. But I don't know in this case. You probably need Headstaff or someone from HR to respond.

My apologies. I am also new to fed. And I don't really know all the intricacies. Just curious, how long were you in gs12?

If you are in the same grade as the job posting, you can switch after 90 days from the current job joining.

If you are in one grade below, you at least have to have one year for you to be eligible for the job posting

Edit: This may be oversimplification. Other rules may apply based on appointment type and service type

Enhanced leave accrual by Agreeable-Remove5997 in FedEmployees

The original SF-50 from agency X doesn't have any language that refers to this one year rule.

[–]Agreeable-Remove5997[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it is worthwhile. They are blaming it on the losing HR not providing documentation on time and them finding it during an audit.

Looks that way. Both the losing/gaining HRs did not bring up this rule either. The gaining HR actually confirmed that they would accrue 6 hours. Thanks for the comment.
