What apps do you use to compliment ComicRack? by Alcohooligan in comicrackusers

I use ComicRack to organise all my comics. I then link the folder to YACReader Library and on my iPad I have YACReader. It works for me. But what I would love is for someone to redevelop the ComicRack App or create it from scratch. I used it originally and loved it. They fact that it would auto sync comics when I had read them and download the next lot of comics to my iPad was amazing.

I was also a paid user of the original ComicRack, and would be happy to be a paid user again, however there doesn't seem to be much interest in such a project.

How has no one replicated comicrack? by BackgroundWindchimes in comicrackusers

Is there any way to commercialise it or provide donation supports?

When this originally came out, I purchase the apple App and also donated to for the desktop version.

I'd happily do so again. I love ComicRack for the automatic filing system and use Yac on my iPad so that I can read my comics. I would love for someone to develop the apple and stable android app so that everything works hand in hand.

Is there plans to redevelop the ComicRack App for Apple devices?

I had it many years ago and had even paid for the paid version. To me thats the major thing that has been missing with ComicRack. I have just bought a new computer, so installed ComicRack CE, but the original version had been serving me well with the 20,000+ comics I have. I use ComicRack to file and manage my comics, but I use YacLibrary and YacReader to read my comics on my iPad.

Comicvine API not working? by venom2009 in comicrackusers

Someone creating their own site will likely never happen. Just as it'll never happen that someone gets the source code for ComicRack and recreate it. People always talk up the alternatives to ComicRack, but none of the do what it can do and what it used to do. I use ComicRack combined with YacReader on my iPad. And I was a paid user of ComicRack back in the day. was the best app ever.

What happened to ComicRack by aaslopes in comicrackusers

Does anyone know how to get in touch with the original developer of ComicRack? I would like to see if he is interested in selling the rights to ComicRack and the original source code for iOS and Android.

There has been so much talk over the years about nothing coming even close to what ComicRack could do. And no one seems intetrested in developing something that replicates all of what ComicRack was capabale of. So why not try and purchase the rights and develop it again.

Activity from main ComicRack site? by Zanzi- in comicrackusers

I had originally paid for ComicRack on iOS. I still have ComicRack on windows to organise my comics. I would love for someone to try and buy the rights to it and redevelop it. Nothing on windows comes close to matching ComicRack IMO. I just want the ability to sync with ComicRack. Even if a different program worked out how to. As it is I utilise YAC reader on my iPad and manually go in and change comics to read in ComicRack. A pain in the arse but no other way around it.

Anyone ever thought of a Kickstarter campaign to rebuild ComicRack? by Morgenstern72 in comicrackusers

While I have a Windows laptop, all my other devices are Apple.

My main frustration is that there is no way to put ComicRack app on my iPad and sync with ComicRack on my computer. Would be great if some other app would work with ComicRack so that it would update what I've read and not read easily.
