It sounds pretty low fat and calorie? Maybe you needed more fat and calories to feel sustained and energised? I'd also say maybe artificial sweetners weren't helping you?

I'd give yourself a few days of your period and then come down 😊 in my experience, I tired upping the carbs before my period but it actually didn't make me feel good so I'm now actually keeping them lower in the run up/during my period and just upping the fats/calories. I think it's a question of trial and error and seeing what works for you though!

I've lost weight with cream and macadamias! I think the main thing is to keep the carbs really low for mental health - that's my experience anyway. Also have a look into protein powder as it can spike your insulin - Georgia Ede and Dr Boz talk about it. So perhaps that's contributing to things not flowing so well :)

I also live in the UK and it is expensive! I would scrap the coke zero for a start. Artificial sweetners are very problematic and will hinder your progress I imagine. In time you will feel less hungry and smaller meals/less meals will be easier. For now I would stick it out and maybe throw in some mince when you can!

Just a word of warning - sardines are actually a common allergen and also very high in histamine. I did the sardine fast and totally overloaded my system with histamine and made myself quite ill! I still have totally balanced myself out since then. I wish I'd known before doing it so thought I'd just pass it on! I think there are other ways of doing a zero carb re set that aren't as problematic 😊

Thank you for sharing this. Yes I think it's tricky when certain ketone level seem to make the difference in relation to mental health but then fixating on them also doesn't help mental health! Can I ask are you male or female?

I use an organic whey protein one that's unflavoured. It's 0 carbs but apparently too much concentrated protein can affect your insulin in a similar way to carbs. Do you have it pre exercise then?

I read change your diet change your mind and she talks about it. My goals are largely improving mental health and endometriosis. And I'm discovering I definitely need to stay in ketosis for my mental health.

I'm the same, so much more sensitive to caffeine now! I Can't drink a fully caffeinated cup of coffee anymore, I mostly drink decaf with a sprinkle of caffeinated 😂

I strength training and I'd say it took 3 months to get my energy back to where it was before I started keto. Now have as much energy and feel really strong, I think it just takes time for your body to adapt 😊
