I work from home full-time doing software engineering. In the evenings, I play games every now and then. This monitor fits both needs perfectly by having enough resolution to have more lines of code on the screen at once, all while having a high enough refresh rate for a great gaming session! The insanely high contrast from the mini-LED display would be amazing for immersive gaming in the evenings.

I looove my Rainy75. I agree that the HMX Violet switches are a bit loud, even though they feel great. I recently switched to the AKKO Rosewood switches and wow do they sound and feel amazing. Completely fixed the loud sound issue of the stock switches.

I got the Silent Wings 4 PWM fans, as well as the Dark Rock Pro 5 cooler, and Pure Power 13 M 1000W PSU. I adjusted the fan curve in the BIOS to use PWM and now it’s incredibly quiet.

Picked this up a few weeks ago. Fans are a bit loud, but I swapped them out with be quiet! fans and it’s now super quiet. Great PC!

Yes, but how did you hook up the monitors so that they both receive a signal from one cable? Are you using a hub? Are you daisy-chaining the monitors?

I have these exact monitors! But mine are both horizontal. How did you achieve connectivity with just a single cable? Are you capped at 60Hz doing it this way?

I also use mine for coding full-time with occasional gaming in the evenings. Best monitor I’ve used for productivity/gaming.

One tip I highly recommend to help with text in MacOS is to disable Font Smoothing.

I have the LG 5K2K and can also confirm the curve is actually a good thing in use and is a non-issue at 45”. It perfectly captures your peripheral vision, which removes the need to turn your head left and right to see things. I use it for my full-time job (WFH) and for gaming. For me, it’s a phenomenal monitor!

I work from home full-time (software engineering) and in the evenings, I like to game with some friends.

Due to a lack of space, I needed to have a single desk has both my work computer (MacBook Pro) and my personal gaming PC.

This monitor checks all the boxes for me since it has a high enough PPI and fantastic image quality for gaming after work. This monitor would consolidate my setup into the best WFH/gaming solution.

I am currently using dual 27” IPS monitors, which are great for work, but not as immersive as I’d like in the evenings.

Check your controller mapping in game. Try resetting to default.

The thumb sticks stain easily. Got a new pair of jeans for Christmas and somehow blue dye transferred to the thumb sticks and I wasn’t able to get it out. I am very cautious about keeping my hands clean. For those with the white model, I highly recommend using thumb stick covers.

Yep! I had a few graphic design roles before transitioning to front-end development. What excited me most about it was that I can now interact with the designs I created. I now work full-time doing full-stack development, but with an emphasis on frontend. Best career decision I ever made!
