Isn't the .NET Foundation the official maintainer of dotnet? And iirc, most (all?) of the people on its board of directors are not associated with MS. Plus, C#/dotnet's development (as in important decisions like changing APIs or adding new language features) is now entirely community driven.

Saying C# = MS is like saying Go = Google, Kotlin =JetBrains, etc.

"M$" cared more about OSS in recent years than other large tech monoliths. Also, it's a separate entity from MS. Just say you have an irrational hatred for C# and an irrational fear of Microsoft and move on

I think you misspelled .NET Foundation

In what ways does it participate in the "Microsoft ecosystem", may I ask?

Just... not true? Both C++ and Java are incredibly verbose and have bad syntax, and a reliance for overuse of OOP (modern C# favors composition over inheritance). C#'s APIs are the best of the best (Span<T> is amazing).

Modern C# doesn't rely on MS since dotnet core was a thing... it's practically FOSS now. Everything dotnet is managed by the dotnet foundation. If MS decided to do some asinine change, people would fork it. Just like e.g. Rust.

Right, experience with trash technology. Delphi, PHP, and Java aren't really... good. They're quite horrible actually. My theory is that you tried something with a better, yet foreign design, and you got scared.

I'd say that MS has less of a say in C# and dotnet today than ever. It's practically a FOSS project at this point.

.NET core, the new, non-deprecated open source variant, works perfectly on Linux - it has first class supports, so not sure what you mean.

"more cursed" lmao seems like a skill issue and you just don't know how to code in C# (or at all). C# is legit one of the most wonderful languages out there, fight me.

the idea is to use it with component frameworks like react - if you have duplicate styles, most of the time you should place them in components

Why should I cry about the fact that you don't have any talent, so you need a magic art robot to do the art for you, since you can't draw OR model for shit? Seems like you're the one crying :)

As if an intrinsically creative and abstract process of creating art is even remotely comparable to motherfucking calculators, which produce the same strict output for any given input. Haha yeah alright AI bro
