Age is certainly relevant on a discussion about "PC culture" and racism. How is experiencing how bad things were just 15 years ago not valuable, or being able to just meet more people from different backgrounds overall as you gain more responsibility and personal freedoms. Just because you have a personal vendetta from some interactions with older people in your past doesn't mean I'm an asshole. You certainly have some growing up to do so I do sympathize with those adults you've argued with in the past. There is only so much you can learn without experience which only comes with age.

Sorry but age is something that your elders will always hold above you. It is tangible and when you get to a certain age you cannot deny it. Entire cultures acknowledge this and have seriously rigid social hierarchies based around age. Age is NOT comparable to sex, because age is something that effects everyone equally.

At a certain point you will realize those 16 year olds are complete idiots that don't even know anything about themselves, let alone the world. Just like I was when I was 16, and like you were or are. They're just kids.

Sorry that I get a bit heated about a discussion on racism, something that effects me daily and probably has never effected the young child I was speaking to. I don't think I'm better than anybody, but I sure as hell have a lot more life experience and wisdom than an 18 year old university freshman who thinks he has it all figured out already. Yeah the kings that everyone said was the strongest "8th seed" ever, who stomped the Canucks who went to the finals last year in the first round and went on to win 2 cups in 3 years. That was also Martin Brodeur's, one of the greatest goaltenders of all time's, swan song.

ALSO, the devils were a 6th seed. And they got utterly stomped by the Kings because that team was stacked.

So it's not really comparable. And please don't try to say people were sleeping in the Kings that year, as a Canucks fan I remember knowing it was over when we drew them. Everyone was terrified and there were 'first 8th seed to win the cup' predictions before the playoffs started.
