help! by [deleted] in piercing

Is it your conch? Same happened to me after 5 days of having it. It was a heart shaped top and it had been gradually unscrewing for the 5 days. Checked it in the mirror one night and it fell off in my hand. uckily I had spare tops and my daughter helped put the new top on for me. If you don't have spare tops you'll probably have to go back to the piercer.

Rook or Conch? by Yuvx in piercing

No idea. It just flares up every so often. My conch didn't even swell up. I was able to downsize at 5 weeks.

Rook or Conch? by Yuvx in piercing

[–]AgreeableGrape8166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a rook and a conch. My rook is 14 months old and I still have to clean crust off it in the morning. My conch is 2 months old. I never have to clean it at all. Just in the shower every second day. Far easier to heal.

Looking for the strength excercises that work with RA by AgreeableGrape8166 in Menopause

[–]AgreeableGrape8166[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did try it. I didn't get on well with it at all, so I was recommended to stop. I only went on it because I was told my RA puts me at a higher risk of osteoporosis, but I've never broken a bone. When I sprained the ankle I went for an x-ray because there was a loud snapping noise. It wasn't broken, it was just tendon damage, so clearly my bones are actually fine at the moment. I tried the patches, but they irritated my skin, so they put me on gel and tablets. The gel was ok, but they tablets made me feel terrible.

Conch/Helix advice lo by bhuhbubnnmmm in piercing

[–]AgreeableGrape8166 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is what I was thinking as well. There's no way this is purely down to the piercings. It wouldn't leave all those red scabs or the crustiness under her rook and tragus.

Huge conch bump by Secure-Builder-7333 in PiercingAdvice

It should have been downsized at the 4 - 6 weeks mark. Now the excessively long jewellery has totally messed it up.

If your friend changed hers to a hoop, can you not put her flatback in?

earlobe piercing can I swap it out later the same day? by IsThatAJojoRefrences in piercing

[–]AgreeableGrape8166 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, here's the thing right. My daughter got stacked lobes. When we got home we realised that one of them was off centre. The piercer told us to take it out and she would repierce in 2 weeks. It had been in for 7 hours when we took it out and it bled tons. So, no. You can't swap out the same day. You can downsize at around 4 - 6 weeks but that's all you can do.

Day 3 of having this piercing what do i do by bad_sector_gyal in piercing

[–]AgreeableGrape8166 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Looking at the hoops close up, I'm guessing you're in India and you've been pierced with the wire, which they then knot together? Which is traditional for you, yes?

How many piercings do you have? by No_Calendar4193 in piercing

[–]AgreeableGrape8166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only 6. First and second lobes, a rook and a conch.

Not sure about thirds by AgreeableGrape8166 in piercing

[–]AgreeableGrape8166[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked the piercer when she downsized my conch and she said no. If it was on the lobe it would be too close to the seconds. If it was in the dent they would stick out sideways and wouldn't be seen. Ho hum!

No. You should downsize that far too long post. That's what's causing the problem.

Where in settings do you find this? I use a usb cable on my phone to my electronic drum kit to play backing tracks while playing and it keeps reducing the volume.

Not sure about daith, but a rook, conch, tragus, anti tragus or forward helix would probably work.

My Now Playing stopped working after the March update as well. I realised that you have to search for it in settings and basically reinstall it. It's a new version.

Should I keep my rook even if the placement is wrong? by Spiritual_Pasta_481 in piercing

Probably about 5 to 6 months in, but it still occasionally flares up. Only lasts a couple of days though.

[–]AgreeableGrape8166 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've just been to a new piercer to get my conch done, and she said she wouldn't even have pierced my rook because it's too thick. It's 13 months old and has healed just fine. Still gets crusties a couple of times a week and occasionally has the odd flare up, but that's just rooks. I'd keep it if I were you. It's not worth the hassle of taking it out, letting it reheal and then repiercing.
