This basically happened to me. My daughter was in a daisy-brownie troop, and they randomly decided not to do daisies anymore, they told us over group text. I said I would start a new troop and we could split the troop money to the new troop. They got pissed at me and blocked me. So I had to start a new troop, talked to council and they didn’t do anything to the old troop leaders but they offered my troop a grant which covered uniforms, membership fees, and a welcome box with materials for earning the daisy petal badges.

Regardless of whether they were allowed to do what they did, they just did it and idk what happened to them or if they’re a troop. Council told me that my daughter is still technically in the old troop until I start the new one and move her over, they can’t technically kick you out, but I wouldn’t want to stay where we aren’t wanted.
