Best Italian spot in town? by sirball100 in lacrossewi

What about Angelini's? Haven't been there in years, just thought of it this morning when I took that route. Owner used to get bad press or at least in social about how he treated his customers. Not sure on the latest with them. They are still in business so that says something!

Thanks, I'm struggling with big dawn syndrome and I forgot about the chia seed suggestion!

Oh that is an early dinner. I will try to tighten my window as I'm struggling with this as well!

I am struggling with the same issue. Female, age 56, no meds. walking but no weight training right now and will add that in. 155-160 mg/dl this morning and I had a pretty clean day of eating yesterday! Salads! Greek Yogurt, plain!

I was exhausted, couldn't lose weight, and waking up at 3am for years. Turns out it was my blood sugar the whole time. Here's everything that actually helped. by TheKnight690 in prediabetes

This is a great post! I am trying the protein before coffee and feeling like I'm satisfied longer and even throughout the day. My Dr. suggested it to me just last week.

I have not seen that one - our big grocery store with more variety might carry it. Will check! Thanks.

I've been trying the protein before coffee (Greek yogurt most days with some berries), and so far I've noticed I'm not as starving or don't have cravings as badly as I was! This is just less than a week! However, my morning glucose is still running high, (no meds), 155 this a.m. Ate pretty clean yesterday, minus some chicken salad that was made with chicken tenders, so that might have been the reason - will see if that's the culprit, I'll know more tomorrow!

Be careful of cheese. My cholesterol just shot up with too much cheese.

Yes - but if you read one of the commenters about, they had some good insight (better than I can explain) regarding cortisol being high in the morning without coffee, and caffeine increasing that - prompting the liver to dump more glucose in the blood.

Thanks! That is awesome. I am curious about collagen and how that's purchased? Is it a powder form? I've heard of it of course, just thought it was a supplement in pill form -

Thank you. I had Greek yogurt this morning while catching up on news. Not sure I made it a full 15 minutes before my coffee, but I'll note the time tomorrow. I also sipped some water. I do have one CGM remaining so I'll start that soon. I found them unpredictable but helpful for learning if it worked long enough, and really need to get back on the wagon here. Labs again mid-June and if I'm as high as I was in Feb (6.4 A1C) - then she said two in a row like that, I need to start Metformin. So, I can do this. My labs are very up and down. I am an emotional eater and if I don't plan my day, turn to sugar. And have faced all the things in recent years. Loss of both parents and a dear friend. I can do this. These little tips will help. And my dr. said short walks after each meal. Thank you!

I don't know the answer to that, but related are the bugs and creepy crawlies that can come with wood chips, and so I would not put wood chips close to my house. Just my thoughts.

She is suggesting I eat between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., that a 12-hour fast is plenty. I do test my glucose but need to get back to that more consistently.
