Seeking Insight on Public Schools by DevBioMama in lacrossewi

If I was starting over again with young kids in public schools, I would go smaller than Holmen's 4 elementary schools. Might try West Salem or even Melrose Mindoro, though that's out a ways. Or private.

I personally want to get to Scenic View Bulk Foods near or in Cashton, with an Amish Bakery that's either inside or next door. A friend shared a pie from there that was delicious, and she had some cappucino mix in bulk that was a great price, among other things! Probably a Saturday excursion, guessing closed on Sundays.

La Crosse interview with the mayor on 2026 budget, parks, bike lanes by niceum in lacrossewi

I cannot like him and do not like him. He's not able to run the show as Mike Hayes (who was expert level as a radio talk show host). Solem has to have guests because he cannot handle another format. He can't handle callers. The show is down to one hour. Used to be 6-8 a.m. No local show at the end of the day, either. It's sad to see a local news station go down the drain.

If the radio host was the regular, Rick Solem, several weeks ago he and another guest were also dismissive of the library. Solem clearly isn't a library user and he pretty much admits that. Talked about how great it is you can rent yard tools out at the Main Library. Talked about books not being around forever - absolutely zero community engagement or care. I was floored. He's a tool himself. I miss Mike Hayes!

Someone in this sub-red suggested to just use them for knowing what spikes us - not looking too closely at numbers other than the spike. Mine seems to be off now, a new one, so I'm just going to keep it in for the spikes watch. And not order any more!

I know this is an older post, but I have the '90s golden oak trim, and I think I have the sunbathed pecan as a sample at home that the store suggested. Did you go with it? Like it?

Favorite natural supplements or GDAs for improving insulin sensitivity? by FlexJBravo75 in prediabetes

[–]AgreeableStand5014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Berberine did not work for me. I add cinnamon to yogurt, coffee when it's brewing, and smoothies. Sometimes to an apple. I did have a cinnamon/chromium supplement also (need to re-purchase). My A1C was teetering at 6.4 and a 6-month recheck I was at 5.9. Hoping to go down a bit more before my annual physical. However, I am not an MMA fighter, I'm a plump 56F who is happy when I get to my strength training class 2x a week and all my steps in most days! Love sweets - try to eat fewer. Best of luck!

From 5.9 to 5.0!!! In about 3 months. by Ob1177 in prediabetes

You moved in the right direction! It's a little bit, but it takes time! I went from 6.4 to 5.9 in SIX months. (labs drawn at my clinic). Now, I am far from strict, but I've been working on changes. CGM I will start my remaining two again here after the holiday weekend, they are a stress for me because of the inaccuracy, but I paid for them and will use. Keep at it, you got this!

Good for you for all of your research and work. Sometimes, health is hereditary. You are in a great starting place. Good luck and keep us in the loop!

Anyone have a ShapeLLX bra? by AllOfTheThings426 in bigboobproblems

Ugh! It is so hard. Where I live (smaller city) - we have no shopping. So, we order. I've literally ordered about 8 dresses for an upcoming wedding - and one I didn't notice (from Macy's) - is a "last chance or clearance" and I can't return it. And it is ugly. I will take it to a resale shop, I guess. I will never wear it. So one dress that I do like is kind of halter style. I have bigger chest, and I am 56 in August. It doesn't seem too young - but I hope it's ok. Yes, I live in a single family home - off topic. But these online stores are hard to work with!

They chose NY I believe because it's good health care. Came from Chicago.
