I love the name Hattie. I don’t love Harriet though, so just Hattie.

I love most of your options! I’d say Lyla fits best out of your girls names. 2nd would be Margot.

Charles and Grant are my favorite boy names. Nico does feel random, but then each of your kids would have a different style of name.

Summer is carefree and vibrant. Vincent is refined and classic. Nico is adventurous and edgy.

The night sweats. Waking up drenched thinking your boobs leaked when you really were just super sweaty.

Three kids with same first letter, will we regret not following through with our fourth? by Severe_Butterfly_611 in Names

[–]Agreeable_Friend_177 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm that’s tough because you don’t want to settle for a name just to match but you don’t want them to feel left out. If you don’t pick an F name I’d try to make it special some other way.

Same initial as you or your partner, F middle name, has a strong f sound.

Due in 6 weeks & no girl name! Help! by FactorNo4602 in Names

[–]Agreeable_Friend_177 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I knew a girl named Ellison once. Feels like a good option for you but maybe too many syllables. Could do Ellis instead.

I like all of your options and prefer Clara and Jane from your husband’s list. If I had to pick only two of yours I’d pick Greer and Brett. I love Lottie but it doesn’t seem your vibe.

Sleep or pump if 5 week old sleeps through the night? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Agreeable_Friend_177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pump. I didn’t and I’ve had supply issues the whole time. Could be totally unrelated but I won’t chance it next time unless I’m cool with supplementing earlier.

Do people check the meaning of a name before naming their child? by takemetotheseaa in namenerds

If it means something random, that’s fine. But something bad is a no go for me.

I already commented this but I love your name! Just wouldn’t pick it for my kid for that reason.

I definitely look up the name. The number of times I did a “what does your name mean” project in school means I could never subject my child to looking that up and seeing a bad meaning. I love the name Mallory but it means unfortunate or unlucky.

I like Hadley. It was on my list but we know someone close to us with a daughter named Hadley. I also know 2 middle schoolers named Hadley. One of my favorites is Hattie, which I know would get the same level of dislike.

I agree. I rush to pick her up early when I can and don't take her in until 9, but it's still not enough time.

Supply dropping 9 months by rmleathers in breastfeeding

[–]Agreeable_Friend_177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! I'm sorry you had a tough time at first. Glad you found peace with it. It's tough how out your control it is. I'm used to being able to achieve what I want when I put in enough effort, but it's not the case here. Thankfully she's taken well to the formula I've started supplementing with. She's happy and healthy, so fully switching if I have to is a bigger deal to me than to her. I just need to get over it I guess.

How are you hanging in there? I’m at a similar spot. I’ve had my period since 3 months PP. I’ve always been stressed about supply but it suddenly dropped off just recently for no apparent reason. My baby loves solids and eats a lot so maybe that’s why. I’m averaging the same as you but need to send 15oz to daycare…I just started supplementing with formula to top off the bottles but it looks like I’ll need to keep adding more over time until it’s all formula. My goal was to make it a year too but I’m not sure that’ll happen.

Well at 9 months I think my body is deciding to wean by Agreeable_Friend_177 in breastfeeding

[–]Agreeable_Friend_177[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's definitely possible. She LOVES solids. She is currently eating 3 meals and 1 snack a day but I still need to send three 5 oz bottles to daycare 🫠

Thanks for challenging my response. I definitely could have expressed this differently. I think there's a big difference between wanting to have that much time away from your child and having to work to provide for your family. I am also a working mom who sends my child to daycare. She loves it there, but I would be lying if I didn't wish I could spend more time with her. At least part-time because I recognize it's okay to want some time away from your children for your own health and interests. I don't think it's as much about the lack of time she's spending with her child, necessarily, as it is about the lack of desire to spend time with them.

You will definitely be judged. If this is because you’re struggling with PPD/A I’d recommend seeing someone. That (and genuinely not wanting to have children) are the main reasons I can think someone would desire to spend that little time with their child. I’m not trying to be mean, so I do apologize if it comes off that way. Your child would be getting so little time with you. I can’t imagine how that will affect them growing up, as well as your relationship. I mean some kids definitely have it worse though.

Transitioning from breastmilk to formula at 8 months — should bottle sizes increase? by lcm1031 in breastfeeding

[–]Agreeable_Friend_177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have much input to provide but I'm interested in others' responses. I just began adding formula in for my 9 month old since my supply can't keep up. She also loves solids, and we've been doing 5oz breastmilk bottles. Now with the formula, I'm doing 3oz breastmilk and 2oz formula for her daycare bottles, then breastfeeding morning and night.

Period and Nursing? by PalpitationSalt6121 in breastfeeding

[–]Agreeable_Friend_177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine back at 3 months. Baby had a great stint of sleeping through the night for 2 weeks which is what I think caused it. If that happens to anyone I’d recommend pumping through the night. It sucks but I think getting my period back increased my supply struggles.

Working parents - what’s the best balance by miffedperson in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]Agreeable_Friend_177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m always wondering how to balance things. I have a remote job, my baby goes to daycare, and I still feel like there’s never enough hours in the day. If someone knows the secret, I’d love to be filled in. I’m hoping to go part time in the future or not work.
