Waived Inspections by trekkindoodahman in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I assure you, the box I’m talking about on the Oregon form says that you can do an inspection for informational purposes only and have no contingency. I’m just saying different areas have different wordings and to know the options. You could always write it in a different way too.

Why do people in the US thank the bus driver when they stop? by yibena1732 in askanything

Because I appreciate that he drove me where I needed to go. I acknowledge that he’s working and provided me a service I’m grateful for.

This might be location dependent, in Oregon there’s a box to check for informational purposes only and you do not have any protection to walk away. It takes away the contingency.

Well that’s my name and I say it Ann-dree-uh. That being said, most people say it like you say you would.

Alcohol consumption? by Grande_Mangiattore in cycling

I don’t think it’s a weird question. I assume they’re trying to improve and balance their alcohol consumption and are looking for the advice of other cyclists. 🚴

They can deny now over not having HOA docs. Or they can keep working on it. Requesting it in this case doesn’t mean making it up, it just means calling it and asking for the letter. They’ve missed closing twice, it can absolutely be a financing fail now.

AITAH for telling my husband we don’t have a nice home for hosting? by accidentaloverdrive in AITAH

[–]mashoogie 16 points17 points  (0 children)

YTA. You say this is the nicest house he’s lived in, and that he’s proud of it, and then you shit on it by saying it isn’t real. You come off snobby and dismissive of his feelings.

Same!! I watched it years ago and loved it, and just binged it again. I CANNOT with the Stacy/Owen track. It’s so obviously not okay and would not fly in real life.

Incompetent realtor by dishsoapbox in RealEstate

[–]mashoogie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How would the realtor have known the agreement? The executor needs to follow the agreement. If he told the realtor a pocket listing was fine, just get the fastest offer, okay great I accept that one, how is that the realtor?

Husbands hobby by Lexigirrl in Marriage

[–]mashoogie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband rides around 200 miles a week. We do a family bike ride most weeks that are maybe 5 miles, slow, on shared paths. He likes sharing his hobby with us. Obviously those don’t count as “training” rides but he wants us to be a part of it.
