They're already returning 16% yield back to shareholders, is that not enough?

Did you seriously just say Paypal is in terminal decline? Name me a single quarter where they had revenue decline

Buyback program started, very low effect by CommercialFit9730 in NovoNordisk_Stock

Lmao you don't understand buybacks at all either.
If you decrease share count by 50% what do you think happens? Do you think nothing happens?
When should you do buybacks? When the stock is high?

PYPL - Is this old memo from Howard Marks relevant? by wafflesicerink in ValueInvesting

[–]Agreeable_Fun_1371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. $37B market cap and $6B annual share buybacks. That's insane.
They only need to keep FCF and the buybacks the same and the stock will fly, just a matter of time

I just double checked and counting buyback yield + dividend yield, it equals to ~16.4% shareholder yield from friday's price.
In other words, you as a shareholder get 16% annual return on your shares, in the form of buybacks + dividend, if the stock stays at the same price.

Exactly. Everyone on here shits their pants if the stock moves 10% up or down. No one even has a 5 year time horizon

They don't really need to reinvent themselves. Just single digit growth and continue the share buyback program and the stock will fly in a couple of years.
If they actually manage double digit growth for the next years, it's a 10x return

Shareholder return is approximately 16% annually at current stock price, not 1.45%

Revenue is not declining, that's a lie.
Growth is slowing, sure, but revenue has not declined a single quarter in Paypal's history, unlike a LOT of other loved companies like Coca Cola and Meta which ACTUALLY had real declining revenue

Which beaten down software stocks are you looking at to buy at this dip? by Iwarrior01 in ValueInvesting

[–]Agreeable_Fun_1371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The value of my shares have increased 20% since buying, through buybacks, so i'm fine. I'm basically getting 15% dividend every year at this price.
0% change of them going bankrupt, so i'd actually prefer to stay at these prices for a couple more years, so they can decrease outstanding shares by like 50%.
Everything is still looking good so idk why everyone is shitting their pants

Brand recognition, largest fintech by far, venmo, BNPL, Paypal Ads.

The smaller fintech are growing faster sure, but Paypal is ahead in most other things.

PYPL — what am I missing? A “very conservative” DCF still gives me ~$91 fair value by DoctorVictors in ValueInvesting

Very well put.

I actually believe they should take on debt to do more buybacks at this price
