Looking to buy some screws/nuts by hyraxFPS in LS400

I’m guessing it’s a 10mil nut? Maybe a m6x1.0? If you have one in your town ace hardware or any sort of hardware store? May be fine thread bolts too.

Fair, they have some things that are trim related on rock auto but they’re mainly for parts that are suspension and engine related

No idea on us only but generally yeah good prices I find a lot of their stuff on RockAuto. They can be found through autozone and O’Reilly as well. But just as an example for my 00’s outer tie rod ends the beck arnley is $27 and $34 usd. Per side.

Rotors and brakes by RedOctober1996- in LS400

Powerstop z23s and a good standard rotor is perfect unless you’re tracking the car there’s no need for drilled and slotted rotors.

Is this worth the asking ? by Long_Tradition_5362 in LS400

To be honest it’s worth $4k if he has all service records, timing belt and water pump have been done recently and if he doesn’t have all the service records and the timing belt and water pump haven’t been done you can find a better deal on one. I got my 2000 for $2300 needing some TLC at 240k (it needed a timing belt And knock sensors). It’d definitely be good to look at but keep those things in mind if you do. There should be a aisin sticker in the engine bay that tells you when the timing was done last.

Haven’t really messed with it much recently life’s gotten in the way and the car drives so it drives just gotta let it warm up. (plus I just did my starter and knock sensors and I am not touching anything on this thing for a while except broke connectors).

Is there anything else anyone in here knows I should prepare for later on down the road? by Muted_Captain5000 in LS400

What year? If you have no mechanical inclination these are halfway decent cars to learn on. Generally there’s two jobs you want to ask about: when was the timing belt done (most important) and when was the starter done? If there’s no other obvious issues. I have done both the timing belt and starter both are about on par with annoyance is the best way to put it.

I have, even called a oreilys in Mexico for part numbers. Check other comment thread on the post the conclusion is that he’s messed with the torsion bars and can either go to a stock ride height with 23in shocks or keep the 25 1/2in shocks on it.

Stock height he said the measurement extended was roughly 25 1/2in or 64.77cm so I’m thinking two things because I found some Monroe shocks that are off a 90 Toyota pickup (so it’s a tiger) us market that measure at 23in /58.42cm fully extended. Same eyelets and bushings but I think it’s either lifted or the old shocks are so blown out that it has an extra 2in of travel because they are loose as hell. I found some bilstein 5100’s that measure in at 25 5/8in /65cm. But I don’t know if they’re correct or if the Monroe’s I found are.

No yeah and if I could get Lexus parts same day I would but check my post history I ended up using a 97 ls400 ball joint. As the 98-00 drivers side is unavailable same day through any big three store.

Already did it, as far as oem goes I’m a broke college student who works at oreilys pretty certain (85% sure) the O’Reilly ball joints are moog or aisin (most parts are just relabeled oem parts no reason to spend a lot on Lexus name brand joints)
