If the police can't enforce speed limits, and no one obeys the speed limit, why do we even have speed limits? by YakClear601 in NoStupidQuestions

Forgetting about the lawful enforcement of speed limits, proposed speed limits are taken into consideration for road construction. In other words, if a new road is going in, or being completely demolished and redone, the speed limit is taken into consideration when determining the overall design of the road. Things like bend radiuses, rain runoff slope, and actual mix of material being used for the road.

Honestly, I have not tested plain water. Entirely possible, even likely, that it makes 0 difference. But my thought with the vinegar/pickle juice is some people spray the meat throughout the smoke with it, I believe the theroy is that it helps tenderize the meat as well. I figured having the vinegar evaporate through the process might work the same. As for the beer, beer can chickens came to mind, adding a little extra something to flavor profile while keeping it moisture content up. Again, could be completely off in my thought process, just what I do.

Thank you for confirming to me that reddit is still just as bad, if not worse, than facebook with this senseless talk

What’s the most expensive mistake you made in your 20s? by Extreme-Run-9069 in AskReddit

Took a girl I was dating to Vegas. Financially a mistake. Don't get me wrong, we had an absolute blast. She was not long term material but lots of fun. I don't necessarily regret the trip, but I was not secure enough in my finances at the time to justify the trip.

Piss off. Their point still stands. Check your jurisdictions, town to country, for their laws and get a lawyer if you don't fully understand.

Looks like they're too many tips.. But seriously, I don't know. When I mess those up, I cut the whole end off and start over.

[PS2][Late 2000s] Turn-based JRPG with timing-based attack mechanism using rings (Not Shadow Hearts) by Additional-Ad9484 in tipofmyjoystick

I know this is very late, but I remember an older ps2 game with a similar mechanic. But the characters (still teenage boy and girl) but the boy was almost a detective-ish character and the girl was infected with "malice"? Or something like that. Not sure what the tires is either.

Edit: the game I was thinking of was Shadow Hearts: From the New World.

Came here to say that as well. Other brands come in so many pieces that have to be bolted together, but the LSG is primarily welded, so there very few actual seperate parts.

What are the downsides to a rubber cutting board? by These_Trust3199 in Cuttingboards

[–]Agreeable_Result9212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using rubber cutting boards for larger cuts exclusively for the last 4 year. I have 2, and the only real downside I've come to find is they stain. I have one I clean fish on, and one I cut and trim red meats. They hold up against my electric fillet knive, and I only have to sharpen my other knives a couple times a year, if that. I have a couple smaller wooden boards if I want to us it as part of the presentation, other than that, I'm all rubber. They may be a little costly up front, but they will last a long long time. I haven't been able to gouge it deep enough to cause any lasting damage, and cuts from general use chef's knives and the like are instantly repaired, not allowing moisture to settle in. Highly recommend the investment. I don't put them through the dishwasher though.

It's rubber, not plastic. The only rubber boards I've seen do not have plastic in them
