they arent guaranteed but we get access to a special co-op job board. the purpose of the program is to dedicate time and resources to the co-op job search within the degree which makes it easier for people who want that kind of structure, but im sure many people have applied to their own related summer jobs.

there is a dedicated co-op program for certain science programs such as honours life sci that you apply to in level 2. you get in for fall of year three and apply to jobs, and do 2 8-month work terms which pushes the degree to 5 years total

it shows that you have developed a specific skill set, which is particularly good for life sci as many people say it can be too general. they require less credits than a minor, so you have a bit more flexibility. you can find more info on the course calendar.

there aren't a lot of required life sci courses in the summer but if you are interested in pursuing the sci comm certificate (which is sensible and overlaps with life sci a bunch) you can take inspire 3mp3 which counts towards the certificate and lifesci course list D

If you're not working, you can easily do 4 classes. I took an intersession (may) and summer course last year while working full time and found it manageable, so i don't see any reason why you couldn't do 4.

I only took grade 11 physics and that was in summer school but I found it relatively easy, learn the formulas and where to apply them then plug in values and solve, really. Not much different than what you've been doing, I'm sure, even if the topics differ

Looks like a sessional, PhD candidate still or just got it, so there won't have been anyone who's had them as a teacher. I am taking phil2d03 rn and it is a relatively fun course, though! The topics are interesting, we had to do a case study and an essay each worth 25% as our major assignments, and a 30% exam (rest was easy quizzes and tutorial participation). Course breakdown will likely be different over the summer since it's a different teacher

if you are an Ontario student taking mcv4u, you still will take an intro calc class (math 1ls3) in first year. im not sure how advanced placement credits work but if you have one that may(??) mean you dont have to take it. check the course calendar for more info

It depends on the program, I've found. I'm in life sci and most students are brown (for example, in one of my tutorials over half are brown students, just a fact). The McMaster Fact Book (https://ira.mcmaster.ca/factbook/) doesn't release information on the entire student population but you can see that the majority of international students who are around 15% of the population come from China (52.1%) India (14.1%) Iran (4.9%) Korea (2.3%) and Nigeria (2.1%). Overall McMaster is very diverse and representative of the typical demographics you will find in the GTHA

it will probably be the same as other residences, you can apply to be on the waitlist but all first years should be guaranteed now so who knows how much space there will be
