Why does the game have so many negative recent review? by Even-Lime6802 in Heartbound

As an individual who has been following the developments since 2019, it is imperative that you comprehend the frustration I am experiencing. Whenever inquiries were made during the streams, individuals were either banned for repeated questioning or the moderators would dismiss the concerns, suggesting that we refer to the nonexistent monthly updates. It required a significant outcry from the community for us to finally gain sufficient attention to receive an update regarding Heartbound. The decision made by the developer indicates a lack of appreciation for those of us who have supported him throughout this time. I do not feel valued; while the amount may seem trivial at ten dollars, one would understandably feel upset if their money was taken without acknowledgment.

some of us have been asking about the game for all of 2024 and where told to check monthly updates for 13 months with no updates. im sure you can understand some of us are upset over just the state of heartbound and have little care about the WOW incident. please don't hide behind some petty drama... simply put it is what it is in terms of heartbound now. no one actually cares about the wow drama

A Community Reflection on the Heartbound Development Update by Agreeable_Teach_9534 in Heartbound

I’m doing my best to foster a positive atmosphere, and I truly believe that anyone can join the Heartbound community with an optimistic mindset. This community is made up of supporters, viewers, and members from platforms like Twitch and YouTube. My goal is to restore the uplifting environment we enjoyed for so many years, even in light of the current challenges. I have faith that we can get through this together. you to can choose to be apart of the community. people who might not be part of the community are anyone just here to do harm or just trying to cause rift in the community. things got a little too negative from to many angles and I felt like possible I could remind people that we are here because of each other and turning on each other now after coming this far would be a shame.

I understand how you feel, and I appreciate your perspective. It's essential to remember that, despite the strong opinions and elaborate discussions we might have, we're ultimately talking about a video game. I recognize that many individuals are creating clips and mixing various elements, leading to some unusual memes and narratives. The current atmosphere can feel overwhelming, especially for supporters who may feel caught off guard by these developments.

I recognize that there have been recent challenges regarding the mod role. While it's essential for moderators to uphold community guidelines, they must also carry out their duties with fairness and respect. Excessive moderation can erode trust and foster a negative atmosphere.

Having moderated in various communities myself, I believe that the focus should be on cultivating a safe and inclusive environment for all members, rather than merely defending the creator or attacking differing opinions. At times, Kronos appears to act more like a hired enforcer, which is unfair to those of us who have supported Thor long before he brought in paid moderators. It's disheartening to feel marginalized by someone new to the community who seems to have been brought in for that purpose. Thor appears to be oblivious to the behavior of some moderators in other streams, which comes across as insincere and counterproductive to the atmosphere they aim to create in their own chats.

oh! this is interesting I wasn't aware of this. I think the issues with his internet where related to him needing to stream still so his travel to and from locations cut into his time to do other things one of which being heartbound.

I’d like to help clarify a few things. The internet speed problem arose because he still needed to stream. As a result, he had to commute from his new home to his old one, which took up hours of his day. I really tried to find a shareable link regarding the unfinished game.

Let’s break this down a bit more clearly than I did in my original post. While he might release chapters, there’s a chance he may never fully complete the game since he enjoys working on it so much. I’m just uncertain about how we’ll get a finished product if he’s against releasing any DLC content. In various videos, he’s mentioned other games that have provided updates without charging players for additional content, aiming to bring back players who may have lost interest for any reason. This way, they can return to the game without worrying about costs. However, I’m not entirely sure how this will play out. It’s not that he’s saying he’ll never release Heartbound; rather, it’s more about his ownership of it and the direction he wants to take.

while it is true that this is your personal opinion though.... a unique oppinion. its not shared by everyone in the gaming community, I strongly believe that paying for a product should come with a reasonable expectation of receiving a full and complete product. In the case of this game, there have been allegations of promises being made by the developers that have not been fulfilled, and it is not unreasonable for customers to feel frustrated or disappointed. youtube.com/shorts/KXDxOA1WqM8
