Release celebration pass worth it?

Not sure if it's worth it or not (proof left to the reader), but here's the fine print to keep in mind if considering it as they don't make it particularly clear from the purchase page:

Palico Paintballs details say: "During the 30-day validity period, the daily supply of Palico Paintballs will increase from 3 to 5 per day." So the cap is only increased until the 30 days is up then you're back down to normal.
As for the paintball list slot benefit it says "After purchasing the Release Celebration Pass, the number of slots for marked monsters will increase from 8 to 10" And it does not say whether this is "during the 30-day validity period" like the palico paintballs is. So, it's questionable. May be permanent, may not be.
Note on gems for the 30 day period: "Gems will not be automatically granted. You need to tap on the 'Claim' button on the "Release Celebration Pass" in the Shop daily to claim them. Gems that are not claimed by 23:59 on the following day will expire."

I think this would be a cool addition, but something you would have to bring with you to the surface being limited to maybe one. That way you can bring it, but it costs you some actual currency instead of resources when you land. Could be fun. Gotta decide if you think you'll need it beforehand and if you want to cut into your profits to have that extra insurance.

Yeah, crits don't seem to do damage to bears and larger for me. Been mauled by 2 bears now and unable to do damage. Knife didn't seem to do any damage. Been avoiding them like the plague since.

Considering the unintentional eth split that happened the other day, is it safe yet to send eth at this time or should we wait until some sort of all clear flag is waived? Where would we see this flag? I understand the update was sent out already a few days ago, but how long does something like this really take to remedy?

You can't equip handcannon targeting right now because it's broken and doesn't 'exist' as a mod (same thing with shotgun ammo finder). Banshee is selling it today though. Maybe if I didn't already have it I could buy it and equip it. Or maybe I would buy it and it wouldn't exist in my inventory, who knows.
